After 2 1/2 years my fish died, he was acting pretty bad for about 3 weeks, kinda sucks as he was a cool betta, shiny blue, I could not bare to flush him, so Im gonna bury him
One of our fish got something wrong with its swim bladder and spent ages floating upside down gasping. In the end we rang up a specialist goldfish shop to find out the best way to kill it (trying desperately to avoid hitting it over the head) and they said to scoop it into an ice cream carton and freeze it!
Apparently that's the best way to kill a fish - who knew?
Anyway, we've never flushed our fish either - they always got buried.
And you know what? That fish had lasted for 11 years.
Poor fishie :-(
thank you all.
I came up with the idea of making a little casket out of popsicle sticks you buy at a craft store, since this was a betta he had his own bowl like a gold fish, so I'll bury him with the fake plant that was in the bowl, as he always was around it.
