Brian May said Queen at Hyde Park 1976 would never get a release on Dvd because the sound is so bad yet the band included the track
"You Take My Breathe Away" on the 2011 remastered 40 years celebrations "A Day At The Races" Cd So quite odd they can include that track on a Cd yet be awkward and will not release Hyde Park 76 on Cd or Dvd?
Brian is really fibbing here.

If you have 24 inputs into a recording desk at a gig any omount of problems could have occurred.
You're talking about one song containing Piano and lead vocal, no other intsruments or vocals. It's probably the clearest recorded sound of a song from that gig. You can hear that on any of the available videos/DVDs from that show.
Taken overall the sound on every song could well be below what they are willing to accept as good enough for an official release of the whole show.
So instead of accusing Brian of being a liar, try working out why he said it.
I still stand by my first post, an official Queen release has a track on it from Hyde Park 76 and i am sure the rest of the film was not as bad as Brian said.
The sound on the track is reasonable and i have heard worse recordings on those various artist cds of the 70s.
I still think Queen productions are just too spiteful and clingy to release Queen's most popular show of the 70s on to Dvd.
I am sure there are more who feel the same as i do.

Jekaling: Do you think Hyde Park 76 was a bad show for Freddie's performance then?
They may have been quite nervous doing that sort of outdoor event, and i believe it attracted 100.000 people too.
