Interesting cover of "I'm In Love With My Car" (in an Americana-style) by Sophia Marshall. link
Of moderate interest Sophia Marshall did lots of gigs around the UK supporting the artist Peter Bruntnell in 2019. Peter Brutnell's band for that tour has Peter Noone (from The Cross) playing bass.
(Full disclosure: I play in Sophia's band, and was gob-smacked on the first night of the tour when we played this song live and Peter Noone spoke to us afterwards, whom I'd met previously on gigs but not put two-and-two together said "I'm in love with my car... interesting choice of cover... of course I know that song VERY well having played it with Roger so often". It was only at that point I realised that I was gigging this song in front of one person who *really really really* knew it inside and out!)
Damn good. I love it when musicians try something different instead of just copying the original. If I have one small criticism that the chorus doesn't stand out from the rest of the song and seems a bit like a verse rather than a chorus. But .. loved it!
I do not like this cover at all it has been turned into a boring country song when its a thrashing rock song!
I hate it when artists abuse classic tracks with there own boring takes.......
I'll happily take either/both of these criticisms. Yes it *has* gone all country, from a thrashing (and beautifully daft) rock song. I'm certainly in no way claiming this is an improvement on the original - I just thought some here might find it of moderate interest. (And it was a bit nerve-racking playing it in front of Peter Noone night after night!).

I am glad to see you here again. I hope all is well with you.
In case you have not kept up my user names changes over the 20 years I have been on this website, some of my previous user names were Panchgani, Gym Bitch, Rip Van Winkle, and Mike Van.
I met you once at a North American Queen convention in the mid-2000's. As I recall, i was over-talkative and excited, and may have been annoying with my "hero worship" of you.
I recall you mentioning that I might have been the only one who bought a QZ t-shirt at the time. I still wear that t-shirt, and wore it as recently as a few weeks ago.
I have immensely enjoyed your website over the years. Thanks.
