I realize he is writing a book that will be out sometime in the future. He reports he and Freddie were very close However Freddie from what I have noticed put his friends in different areas in his life. There were his buisness friends, Houskeepers , Drivers, personal assistants, Mary of course. The band which he was close too on a buisness and brotherly perspective. Oh I almost forgot PeterFrestone his personal Assistant.Oops and I can’t forget Rudi his Friend and buisness associate.Did I forget anyone? |
CHEVYMAN 11.06.2020 14:09 |
Yes I did Forget he had more personal friends he spent time with and talked too. He felt he may have had more in common with and understood him and that was his Newyork buddies Thor and Lee. There were others I’m just not familiar with their names .I don’t feel Rudi was this type of close personal friend to Freddie. He wasn’t someone he could hit the club with have talks about boyfriend troubles. Rudi was in another group of Freddie’s friends I believe. The thing that bothers me most is the fact he is calling his book my Friend Freddie I truly believe the only ones that knew his intimate side were his men friends. He probably felt more comfortable talking to them is why I say this. |
CHEVYMAN 11.06.2020 14:13 |
I’m sorry I misspelled poor Freddie’s name |
MisterCosmicc 14.06.2020 07:09 |
Well enough that Rudi worked with Freddie for nearly half of Freddie’s Queen career from interviews to music videos to documentaries. Freddie must have thought a lot of him. |
Invisible Woman 12.07.2020 08:26 |
Queen worked with Rudi even when became clear that Freddie was in very poor health so I think they had confidence in him, so he known the band and Freddie first through the profession and later privatly also. |
queennall33 29.07.2020 08:15 |
I think they weren't very close. I think he writes in this book to get attention for himself. I recently played book of ra play for free and watched a documentary about Freddie's TV. I never heard him mention Ruddy. |
CHEVYMAN 29.07.2020 17:02 |
I agree a lot of people don’t agree with me he was with Queen a long time but not as close with Freddie as he portrays. I heard his book might not be happing and a lot of fans have put up money I hope refunds are coming if this is true. He also has eviction notice to get out of his remtal home don’t know what for. I don’t know what’s going on there sad for the fans though. |
CHEVYMAN 29.07.2020 17:24 |
Rudi has been at this book deal for years looking back on my other fb group so I don’t know. For one in Freddie’s down time he mainly spent his time in the company of gay men. When he got with Jim it was him. He spent it at Garden Lodge the occupants there were also gay men that’s what brought him joy. I don’t think he mixed buisness with pleasure lol.I”m not saying he didn’t go to dinner with the band or Mary at times. His main circle like it or not we’re his gay men friends in Newyork. When he got to Germany he hooked up with Barbara’s company because she liked gay men who doesn’t I do I admit it.He soon found A circle and gay partner there. He then went back to London set up house with Jim Hutton another gay man. In the home was phoebe and Joe his employees both those men were gay. He would from what I know call his Newyork buddies and visited and they were all gay. The only straight was Mary his best friend and former first and last girlfriend in his youth. So everybody was gay it’s a beautiful thing yah yah yah!!!!!!!!Im just saying he preferred his people and I get that I really do you wanna be we’re you feel accepted. |
CHEVYMAN 29.07.2020 17:27 |
No in my opinion I don’t think they were that close!!!!!!!! |
Holly2003 30.07.2020 08:12 |
Hopefully the book will focus on Fred's music and not as much on his personal life. |
CHEVYMAN 30.07.2020 16:38 |
Well I certainly hope so from I think from a music side of things I do think Rudi has much to contribute he was with Queen for some time. However, fans have really gotten the wrong idea about this book because of all the stuff Rudi himself has said about him and Freddie being such great friends and such. The title for instance My friend Freddie. it sounds more like buddies pals long time friends. The chapters on Mary Austin and Barbara Valentin. Give me some men please cause he sure liked them. Please no love stories on Barbara It didn’t happen I’m a fan but hell no.I seen some old footage of him signing a ladies autograph and as he passed a guy was bent over and Freddie was looking at his ass lol!I got off track talking about men no I’m not one but I do find gay men attractive like good ole Barbara I just don’t lie on them. I lick my wounds and be friends.I hope this book happens too! I just don’t like the ways he went about things. |
CHEVYMAN 30.07.2020 17:36 |
I do think the fans will get some benefit from the book written about his personal life too! We just have been left in the dark on that one so many men in his life with no names. I blame management for this one and always will my opinion doesn’t have to be anyone else’s .A couple gentlemen writing about personal friendships from an actual personal perspective which will be nice and lovely stories from the missing years what a shame it was left out of his story at all.But we are talking about years ago but to me that’s no excuse it’s sickens me how much money Freddie made management and they deny him. They make him somebody else disgusting well I’m done. |

With regard to his pubic persona, the person who did the most to hide the fact he was gay was Fred himself. In this 1985 video he chases Debbie Ash around as if he is straight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yR0YjRfkQPk He denied being gay in the press (when 'outed' by The Sun newspaper); he didn't admit to having aids until the day before his death. The closest he came to a public 'admission' was in adopting the gay clone look in 1979/80. I don't blame him in any way for this, but you can't blame his management for allegedly trying to hide his gayness (something I don't believe at all -- in fact, it's just ludicrous) when Freddie did it himself. |
Holly2003 30.07.2020 19:42 |
btw the management who you claim "deny him" is Jim Beach, the man who helped set up the The Mercury Phoenix Trust, a charity organisation that is dedicated to the fight against HIV/AIDS. Beach remains a trustee of the Trust. Not a bad record for someone you allege is trying to hide Fred's gay identity. |
CHEVYMAN 30.07.2020 22:36 |
Of course, he chased women around in videos and held them in his arms he was directed too by management it was his job. That means absolutely nothing but he was following orders everybody has a boss.As far as AIDS he as a man had the right to protect his family it had nothing to do with being gay. His poor parents went to see his body and they flashed a camera in his face.As a mom how terrible is that.A mother knows her son she told the public she didn’t know he was gay but every mom knows her son and I think she knew he was gay. Management wanted not told he was gay. |
CHEVYMAN 30.07.2020 22:51 |
A little thing called love a woman’s crotch was in his face and it was like he was looking through a brick wall no man does this it looked so bad. They should’ve let him be himself. Hell they should’ve put a guy there why not? That’s what wrong with people if it works why change it.But they did they wanted to make him somebody he wasn’t for the sake of shame. Being gay used to be considered a dirty thing. Well they didn’t want it so they made a straight Freddie and they did a shitty job. |
CHEVYMAN 30.07.2020 22:57 |
As far as the clone era he was coming into himself he was almost like being reborn how special that would’ve been to witness. Unless you understand Freddie’s world you can’t grasp how special this is for someone. It wasn’t a fashion statement for him . He was saying here I am world I’m ready to embrace this beautiful lifestyle fully admit who I truly am and if you don’t like it fuck off.Thats my opinion. |
CHEVYMAN 30.07.2020 23:12 |
Freddie’s mom wrote Jim a letter and told thank you for taking care of my son. He even took Jim to visit his folks. His parents knew that was his partner for his careers sake and contracts they denied knowing he was gay . |
CHEVYMAN 31.07.2020 01:07 |
He wasn’t ashamed of who he was he came to know who he was and celebrated life as anyone would. |
Holly2003 31.07.2020 06:28 |
You must think very little of Freddie if you believe he was so weak as to let his management (Jim Beach, according to you the rabid anti-gay manager who nevertheless set up an Aids charity) force him to hide his identity. And of course I did say I didn't blame Fred for hiding his private life, but you've ignored that (because that's what conspiracy theorists do). And accusing Fred's parents of lying is pretty despicable, but then again everybody's got to be in on the conspiracy, right? :( BTW if Fred wanted his private life kept private, why do you think you have a right to know about it? |
CHEVYMAN 31.07.2020 14:48 |
Look I’m not gonna argue with you I don’t know your age but in 1989 I was 14 had a girl friend and there is no way we walked hand and hand in school or anywhere. We had to leave our small town so no one would know.Everyone thought we were really good friends.Times have changed but old timers like Jim beach have not . The man was a awesome buisness man for Queen that’s all Freddie and the others cared about. In buisness you have to take the good with bad.Freddie was highly intelligent man he knew Jim could handle the money and make it grow. But yes I believe Jim beach was and is a bigot. It’s my opinion.Everyone has one that’s okay to have an opinion. |
CHEVYMAN 31.07.2020 14:58 |
The film about him that came out was a disaster And a bald faced lie.People that knew him best have had some to say on that one. the man was not sad not hiding his sexuality outside Queen dealings he was having one hell of a good time and enjoying himself where ever he was. Then AIDS hit a very sad thing he died way too young we lost a great artist. We lost other artist too.As far as Freddie’s parents his mom did I believe what she thought was best. I think they knew he was gay since he was a teenager in school. A mother knows her son a bond always exists there in my culture that can’t be broken. |
CHEVYMAN 31.07.2020 15:02 |
My grandmother loved her son he was also a gay man and she told me when I became older she always knew he was gay from an early preteen age. She still loved him. You do a lot for your children. |

Bigots run charities all the time hell they have run our countries. |
CHEVYMAN 02.08.2020 14:30 |
Holly, isn’t rabid a perfect word for a sick dog. Well in my mind bigots are just that they are sick and full of hate for something they know nothing about.A dog has no control over becoming rabid but a human has many choices not to do the things they do.Certain groups of society are the sick ones they used to view being gay as a illness. Give me a break society are the ones that need locked up and let the rest of us roll back to the 60s and enjoy ourselves with whom ever we please!!!!!!!! |
FreddieDearie 02.08.2020 17:38 |
It is a myth that Freddie was closeted. It is true that he felt it was no one’s business and felt people should se him as a human and an artist first. But Freddie was WELL KNOWN for traipsing around gay bars and wearing t-shirts from BDSM gay bars etc. As far as him running after a woman in a video. It’s just a character he was playing. The video’s plot was built around old fashioned movies from the 50’s. Pretty sure mainstream movies in the 50’s didn’t have gay men chasing each other around and kissing. So for that to be used as “evidence” he was hiding his sexuality is rediculous. |
CHEVYMAN 02.08.2020 23:59 |
I think it’s a crime men in the 50s couldn’t show their love and affection toward one another. They were treated like animals no wonder they were scared who wants to go to prison for showing intimacy or affection. We can’t control who our emotions and physical hormones and chemistry’s are attracted to and we owe no explanation. But I guess I’m good ole 1950 we did. I was born in the 70s I’m sure it was still just as bad. But wasn’t there a period in the 60s where everybody was having the free love era. |
CHEVYMAN 03.08.2020 00:02 |
I have one guy friend that grew up in the oppression and has filled me in some but people under50 really don’t understand because by the time I was a teenager the 90s started a time of change. |
FreddieDearie 03.08.2020 05:31 |
Chevyman, I'm agree with you, bigotry is a mental disease in a way, but with bigotry, humans CHOOSE to be that way. Sickness infers they were infected with something beyond their control. And maybe one can excuse in experienced children having been kept ignorant. Butmthere’s a certain point, where, if your human nature is decent, you shed that ugly thing you were, taught as a child. Ignorance is no longer an excuse. Can you please list the bigoted things Jim Beach did? I here people repeat things like he somehow was forcing Freddie to hide his sexuality, but I’ve not seen any real evidence of it. Of COURSE, if he did that I will speak out against him. And for the record, I nursed AIDS patients in the 80’s and 90’s, I’m extremely aware of the pressures and prejudices against gay men back then. In the 60’s homosexuality or “sodomy” was still illegal in most states. So no, the 60’s was not ”free love for gay people the way it was for straight people. Homosexuality has still illegal up until 2002 in 15 states. |
FreddieDearie 03.08.2020 05:42 |
Holly, Freddie never denied he was gay. That’s just not true. Popcorn Magazine (German) Q: You recently admitted to being gay in interviews.... Freddie: Yes I’m gay, so what?...I am actually a very sensitive romantic guy, but I have been often disappointed, my heart has many scars” |
FreddieDearie 03.08.2020 05:44 |
|
FreddieDearie 03.08.2020 05:46 |
chevy, As is tradition, I'm sure Freddie’s mother wrote all Freddie’s workers thanking them for their service to Freddie. There’s no way in hell that the letter written to Jim was in anyway thanking him for being his boyfriend. |
Invisible Woman 03.08.2020 07:04 |
I think he hid it at the beginning of his career but not later. In fact, in private life no but in public life yes. Many celebrities have done it ( hide something for public ), are doing it and will do it because this is about their careers. Not everything is simple. Everyone has the right to protect his career as they think should, and as far as he is concerned, his career and job have influenced the careers and jobs of other people so that in public life he could not behave the same as in private life. But is that the most important thing that Freddie was gay? Isn't it more important that Freddie was a great artist, musician, singer, his music and the songs we still love and listen? Why would we look at him through just one fact? He was gay and what about that? He is not the only artist or celebrity who was or is gay. |
CHEVYMAN 03.08.2020 15:15 |
That’s kinda my point over all he was an artist and when I look and I haven’t in a great deal of time and see someone shaming someone by talking about their buisness and their position in the bedroom it disgusts me. I wouldn’t want someone talking about my sexual position in the bedroom . Yesterday was a bad day. What makes this even worse is this talk is someone from the gay community and a woman. It makes me question do she hate men cause I sure don’t I love men.I know this isn’t subject related but I find it disturbing. I had a gf of 6 years in my youth before I preferred male partners. She is still lesbian today I told her about it and it even made her sick. So if men want to talk between eachother about this subject fine but women have no buisness talking about how two men have sex and making fun of them in fun of many followers. If your in a private group it’s one thing but Instagram isn’t private. |
CHEVYMAN 03.08.2020 15:20 |
I’m disappointed that the little thread I thought was not judge mental has turned out to be. At first I think it wasn’t intended to be that way. But it happens when you got to many hens in the hen house and the rooster is always out. The rooster needs to return. |
CHEVYMAN 03.08.2020 15:38 |
I look back at old threads with these same posters and I think they have gotten two big for their pants. I used to think a woman could handle anything a man could but I don’t know about that. This clearly shows me maybe not a guy used to run the other threads and didn’t tolerate any bullshit. A man just handles things differently I guess maybe that’s the way it was meant to be. |

His cock was huge from many inquiry’s does that excite you?most Gay men do have some really good sex I have googled it and I want to come back as a man in another life. Because damn they get after it. It looks so inviting.I saw one guy stick his arm up a mans ass and it resembled a woman giving birth afterwards it was very erotic. |

I myself have never had anal sex I’m too scared of the pain. I bet it hurts.Think about it a whole entire penis in your ass once you got past the pain I bet the pleasure is to die for. |
