Soo Aside from working on a remix of the "second to last" Sabbath album - FORBIDDEN (with Tony Martin) [which I thought was really good! Better than most 80's Martin albums- but was panned as "RAP SABBATH" rather ignorantly thanks to one Ice T spoken word verse on Illusion of Power]
aside from that.. it seems that Tony Iommi has reaffirmed that he and Brian May (of Queen) have been pitching around ideas and riffs. This is conclusive verification that there have been some efforts to work on music, and not just a "riff bank" project as *rumored* years ago.
Article indicates Tony Iommi has sent Brian May several cd's of riffs and the two plan to work on things "when there's time"
Details in the articles
(Clearly "QUEEN" related)
ah.... okay, so for folks who don't get the "Clever/Lame" name.. .I'll revise the OG post.
I guess it can be expected that there are modern Queen fans who don't know who Tony Iommi is, much as a crime that may be
Ha I knew who he was! But yes I don't think many others my age would know who he is or even know any Black Sabbath songs! I know two so that is better than none I suppose!

Brian has plenty of time to mess around with Tony Iommi now as he will not be getting back on the road till next summer now!
Infact if Brian is bored he could write a new solo album and get that released !
*^You're missing out if you only know two Sabbath Songs.
Basically any album from the Ozzy or Dio era are fantastic. Tony Martin era I'm partial to CROSS PURPOSES and FORBIDDEN
But definitely BLACK SABBATH, MASTERS OF REALITY, SABOTAGE, SABBATH BLOODY SABBATH, and PARANOID are required listening for any rock fan.
Dio era is fantastic as well, even the HEAVEN AND HELL album "the devil you know "
Black Sabbath actually were one of the very first bands to start the Heavy Rock/Metal movement in this country and you know of two their songs ?! That's a little strange.
Dear Green Room ,Brian is still recovering from his recent health scare and he probably does not feel like writing 10/12 quality songs and going into to the studio to record a new solo album for you. Do not take it for granted that Brian will be touring on a massive scale next year if I was you nothing has been decided as far as I am aware.
I see that the "Rhapsody Tour" has now been put back until June next year including several nights at the 02 Arena. I hope that Brian does not feel trapped and gets a clean bill of health from his Doctor's.The last thing I would want to see is Brian pushing himself too far and becoming ill again.Brian does not owe us anything,he has been entertaining us for 50 years now,i am almost certain that next years dates will be the last.I unfortunately will be unable to attend the shows due to my ill health ,I hope that those of you that can go enjoy the shows.
Sorry about your ill health Philip Storey... that stinks. I hope it's recoverable, something you can reverse or treat with meds or discipline. Ditto that sentiment for Brian and touring.
The performance is only a couple of hours onstage. But getting there and the regiment and maintaining that after 70... I'm sure that's very demanding to say nothing else of traveling
^True.
Iommi was quoted last year as potentially working with old time chum Tony Martin (*who he hasn't always been quoted favorably about)
His "solo albums" also featured great vocalists and were pretty fantastic in their own right: Ian Astbury, Dave Grohl, Rollins, Anselmo, Serj from SOAD etc.
Then there's Ritchie B's guy Ronnie Romero or JSS... Who knows.
