This recording -that was made during 2020 lockdown- has been a real challenge, specially because we had to fill the gaps in the lyrics. Recording a version of an unfinished song was a real treat, but we have really enjoyed doing this. It was fun, and we did it with all our love and respect for the band of for this song that, without question, would have been a killer in Queen's 'The Miracle' album and overall band's catalogue. Vocals: Meli Mizrahi. Piano, Production and Mix: Mariano Bryner.
PS: @peopleonstreets: "Fuck off!" ;-)
last-horizon 42265, first piano chords really chilled me
Meli's voice is superb!
Has a strange accent perhaps, feels like english isn't her native :) But it makes the cover sophisticated and gives it unearthly feel.
Arrangement suits the very heart&soul of the Band. I even catch myself like i'm listening Queen Fem+ in some places!
But it's weird decision as for me to change tempo of the song, making a ballad of. Arguable, but can't say its bad...only a matter of taste.
To sum things up, its a very solid work!!! And independent, as far as i understand the lyrics has been newly written in ad-lib parts.
Thank you for the opportunity to meet so talented and devoted cover band!

Yeah why Queen left out that song from The Miracle album i will never know and instead we got a song about Kashoggis Ship!
Yep,indeed! Song always has a great potential, really original gem. Little polish - and it would shine. What , in the end, has been proved by Meli and Mariano :)
Well, the band didn't think it worth any continued effort back in '89, did they? And that's the point: what do we really know as fans? the band were hugely successful, and this was based on their own professional decisions.
in truth, most of what we're asking for these days is because there's been no real new songs since 1991. therefore, it's logical to demand the "scraps" are now released. only way that happens is if:
1. band feel inclined to go back and work on the songs (unlikely - only a handful of songs have been in 20+ years)
2. the band will release these songs as they are (warts n all). I think Brian's perfectionist mind won't allow him to see any unfinished tracks are released - unless as part of "anniversary specials" and clearly marked "unfinished demo / wip". but then, these would be no different to the tracks as leaked over the last decade or so. so what's the point?
Have you found yet another account Gerry?
Sounded nice and was paced more like a power ballad without the typical QUEEN ebb and flow.
I still don't understand people's praise of the snippet. Even as a snippet it's just one phase of an idea. Great idea to slow it down though... The typical choir bit wouldn't work well with the content... The subject is so passive... Probably why Freddie didn't trouble himself at it again. Wasn't full of high drama
