I actually don't really dig anyone other than Freddie singing queen songs. Whenever somebody does it always sounds kind of mediocre.
That's why I believe may and Taylor should have left the queen legacy alone after the MIH album. It was a nice send off and very fitting.
Unfortunately they didn't and lamebird will now be a part of the Queen legacy forever. Nothing will erase it from history.
Yes massive mistake on Brian's side reforming Queen, because they have lost the ambience and they look so lost on stage
plus Lambert looks like an oven ready chicken with the amount of foil he uses in his costumes so tacky and cheesy.
Queen are 1971 to 1991.
People are getting ripped off when they are still using the name Queen to sell tickets because you are just getting half a Queen band and a session musician on bass and
a freaky type eurovision styled singer.
Just saw it... it makes me happy to see and hear how other musicians enjoy playing Queen songs and keep the legacy alive. It doesn’t matter who’s the best, it’s all about brotherhood and positivity ...
JSS is a great singer and performer!
I too like to hear queen songs only with Freddie's voice. But I don't mind hearing other singers singing queen songs once in a while to show their appreciation for queen music or to listen to their take on the songs. I always enjoy Freddie Tribute concert. I know some of the singers did not perform that great but it did not matter as it was about the occasion and coming together of all of them to pay their tribute to Freddie.
But I must admit I liked Paul Rodgers version of queen's rockier songs as well ( of course no can be Freddie!). Dare I say, I am ok with people who have pedigree singing queen songs because it make me feel proud as a queen fan that all the greats appreciate queen music. But that's all I can take, no matter what.
Talking of other musicians performing queen, here is one I found on youtube of Bryan Adams singing a few lines from Innuendo. He sounds great. link
Interesting to see Adams sing this. Freddus' vocals on this are absolutely insane. They never fail to send a shiver down my spine.
I'm also probably in the minority, but I quite enjoy Robert plant's version of this at the tribute concert, even despite the botched lyrics.
@The Real Wizard, where is the intellectual dishonesty? Please explain, because I don't see it. Or are you trying to win an argument again. Because if you're trying to win an argument you'd be better off going to be Brenski's site and trying to win an argument with him. On second thoughts maybe not; you'd get banned.

Are you that stupid that when the two opposing sides of your own argument have been quoted you still don't understand that it's you that have typed the words.
This is what keeps bringing me back here, the level, or lack of, intelligence exhibited by the dregs of what is left here. And it's free entertainment.

and YOU are wrong. you can't arbitrarily choose a date based on when "you think the band began" or "when the classic line-up came together" - that's not how it works.
a band exists from the day the name is used.
Deep Purple = 1967
Led Zeppelin - 1968
Genesis = 1967
Yes = 1968
Pink Floyd = 1965
Beatles = 1960 Queen = 1970
NO, NO, NO.
You're all wrong, well at least if you use media74's idiotic rule. It's quite clear Queen only existed from 2012. As media74 knows that's when Adam Lambert joined making Queen the true creative force everyone thought they could become!
Gerry, you still don't get it, do you?
