Hello everyone! This is the second part of anthology and it covers the most vivid and interesting period of the band - performances and tours in support of the album "Sheer Heart Attack". A special gem of the compilation is Killer Queen's TV appearances on Top of the Pops and Avro's TopPop. Here they are presented in the best quality and in the most complete version and without logos. I also couldn't avoid the material from the official release of "Live At the Rainbow", So I made a special extended version that was different from the official one. The enhanced version has extended Backstage shots, as well as all alternative camera angles shown on a single screen. I also tried to restore a very rare live promo video from '75 "Now I'm Here", because it’s quality is not watchable. The footage was taken from the film version of "Live At the Rainbow". The compilation closes with their first tour in Japan. I cut out all the old titles, which gave the shooting a fresh look. The concert in Budokan is presented in the most complete form and looks quite interesting. Suggestions and criticism are welcome. I wish you a pleasant viewing! TRACKLISTING: 01. Intro 02. PS It's unfortunate that you still use my "restoration attempt" of Tokyo, it wasn't very good. The color correction was done fully automatically, I was hoping somebody in the future will re-do it properly. And the jump cuts in the places where I cut between officially released footage and Ginjaninja's off-monitor recording could be smoother too, I did it originally as a "rough cut" which should be improved after the synchronization. But other than that great work as in the first video. |

Bullub wrote: Pittrek, I think we should be content with what we have100% disagree. The entire point of threads like this is to create the best possible version of each concert/video/event/etc., with people like you doing the heavy lifting so that thousands of fans can enjoy things that almost certainly won't be officially released. Otherwise why does this section of the forum even exist to begin with? So if someone like Chief Mouse wants to chime in and do something to improve that Tokyo footage, then all the better. Communities like this are at their best when people work together, not when we're just content with what we have. We should always strive for better. And thanks for doing that with these shares. Keep them coming. |

Is there an actual 4:3 version of "Killer Queen Alternate Take from GHV1 DVD" here or not? I would love to see someone digitally remove the "BBC Television" notice early into the video. |
Chinwonder2 07.04.2020 20:55 |
I think it was exclusive to the GVH DVD unfortunately :( -Chin |

Hi, First of all: thanks to Bullub for his hard work on making the Video Anthologies! Excellent work! Secondly - and I think it must be me - I cannot download the 11GB ,mkv file. The Megalink doesn't work with IE, so I used Google Chrome. But Google Chrome crashes after 1GB or or so. I also get a message that there's not enough disc space. But there is enough space... I cannot use torrents. I have downloaded the smaller 'low quality' file without problems. Any kind soul out there could offer some help on this Good Friday? Thanks! |
