Too bad they didn't record the Queen concert! MOTT THE HOOPLE/ARGENT New York 1974/1973 [no label, 1CD] King Biscuit Flower Hour. Mott The Hoople - Uris Theater, New York, NY; May 8, 1974. Argent - Palace Theater, New York, NY; November 7, 1973. Excellent radio broadcast. The KBFH program was broadcast on Sunday nights from 1973 until 2007, although new programming ceased in 1993 and previous shows were repeated from that point. During its prime, the program was carried by more than 300 radio stations throughout the United States. The long-time host of the show until the mid-1990s was Bill Minkin, whose voice has been described as “the perfect blend of hipster enthusiasm and stoner casualness.” The concerts were usually recorded with a mobile recording truck, then mixed and edited for broadcast on the show within a few weeks. In the 1970s, the show was sent to participating radio stations on reel-to-reel tape. Some shows were recorded and mixed in both stereo and quadraphonic. |

I like Mott and have a lot of Ian Hunter stuff. Incidentally Ian is on record as saying the Bohemian Rhapsody film portrayal of Freddie was nothing like the Freddie he knew. They made him soft. He also said he told Brian this personally. The interview is on Youtube. |

You routinely accuse others of not being "real" Queen fans for not following your ideology of blind idol worship, yet you fail to exhibit rudimentary knowledge of the band's history. If only you possessed basic self-awareness you'd realize a) you're getting a taste of your own medicine, and b) how stupid you look to anyone with an IQ over room temperature. You are a real piece of work, Gerry. Bravo for continuing to lower the bar when it seemed it couldn't possibly sink any lower. |

Fred46 or Red WTF As your interest appears to be sniffing around the private life of people who you never met and who didn't know you (link ) ...is there anything that interests you beside gossip books and lenghty nauseating threads with your personal assumptions that no one gives a sh... about ? Is gossip = Queen to you ? |
