Strange how, we can hear a song for years and initially we think "heard that before".
This happened to me back in 2012. I was listening to the lead track on Green Day's "Tre" LP - the third of a 3-LP release.
"Brutal Love" is a cracking tune (one of my own personal faves), and initially I thought it was just a simple case of.
"Yep, that's it, got it".
My conclusions (back in 2012) were: He (Billy Joe) must be a huge Sam Cooke fan. So mentally - at least - I thought, job done.
But then, over the years - each time I hear the song I hear parts of the Shirelles "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow"
but the tempo is too fast, but I thought it's still there somewhere. Then I remembered this:
