You've gone to a great effort, which you should be thanked for: but there isn't really timestamp removal - just a big splodge where it used to be, equally as bad, and it's out of sync. It's quite difficult to watch it. For me, CM's version is still the one. Not trying to berate you in any way, just honest feedback.
First, thanks for the effort. Unfortunately, the image is very dark. A lot of detail of the edges has also been lost due to the smoothing effect.
I wish QP released the video that they emitted in the documentary From Rags to Rhapsody of this concert that was quite good quality.
I don't consider anyone to be unwashed, but when somebody uploads an image of their hard disk content on here it only confirms what I'm saying.
It saddens me that some forum members are using an inferior source to try and improve upon, whilst others sit back and let them waste their time.
A better version circulates, watch this space.
I know Sikke's version is shared among a select few. To be honest, I'm ok with that. Obviously I hope that it is shared with us masses at some point. If and when that happens then great. Until then you just do the best with what you've got. A good quality video of Hyde Park has been my Holy Grail for 36 years. But I don't feel like I should be entitled to it. The great unwashed is just a turn of phrase. Not meant as a dig at anyone. Washed or otherwise..
I've seen the clips of MOTBQ & White Queen on YouTube and the quality is indeed far superior to the common version(s) that most of us have, even taking into account the YT compression.
I get it is a turn of phrase, I was at the concert on the day, so it means a lot to me as well.
I have waited more than 43 years for a release, and I'm tired of these futile attempts at polishing a turd.
