Hi,
I don't know if this is a big deal or not, sorry if it's not, but I recently came across a Bluray that contains a Laserdisc rip of the GFII. I don't know anything about it, and haven't seen it discussed here either. I even tried contacting the email address on the menu if he/she has more stuff like this, but it doesn't exist. Do you know anything about it?
BTW It looks very good IMO, maybe with a bit of a Chief Mouse magic (if he thinks it's worth doing something with it) it could be the best video quality we have until an official Bluray arrives (if ever). Or it is the best as it is and could be even better. You decide.

Oh and sorry for the wrong forum, but I think more people will see it here.
Thanks for the share mate! :) But there is a DVD version of the Greatest Flix which remains the best source for any touching up. That's what I've used for my promo clips project.
Alright then, maybe just the fact that it's a Bluray made me think it is the best. But it's very good IMO. And I've never seen it before, so it surprised me.
And here's a link to download If anyone wants it: link
There are three downloadable versions. (The only difference I noticed between the 23GB and the 25GB is that the 25GB has moving menus, but it doesn't fit to 25GB Bluray disc.)
Just to clarify, this is a rip of the Japanese release TOLW-3098.
It's nicely authored and contains two 24/96 stereo LPCM audio tracks (it seems one is taken from the analogue track, the other from digital).
The audio levels are thankfully not ramped up (as seems to be the norm these days).
