https://moises.ai is a site which I have found which uses Deezer's Spleeter algorithms without having to download any software onto your computer.
All you need to do is create an account (you could for example use a Google account if you have one) and then select what you want done to the track. Then either choose the file from your computer or gadget, or even find a video on YouTube. Then, you don't need to do anything else until the process is done! You could even close the tabs down because you don't need to keep them open as it emails you when it's complete. It only takes roughly five minutes for each process to complete!
It's free, easy and it remembers every file for a week! There's no limit or restriction from what I can see and it works really well!
We were just talking about this on the Queen Archive thread. I've been playing around with the 5 stem version. The technology could prove very useful for bands with 2-track soundboard tapes to work with.
I enjoyed that well done.
I wonder whether this tool could be used to remix the Japan 1985 concert with it's heavy synth and loud vocals - bring the other instruments higher into the mix.
I am very interested in your article but then I will continue to play games and run constantly in space, do you like this. Playing run 3 always makes me excited, lively music and constant movement. I had to fail several times to pass the levels and I believe it was a challenge. Cupid Run 2
I always thought the version of Modern Times RnR from the fourth BBC session sounded a bit thin to me, so I've boosted the bass and vocals using this Moises tool:
Regarding japan 1985 I've actually synced the video from the DVD with the synthesizer higher than any other instrument with the audio from the better radio broadcast mix, i did it about a decade ago but can't share it because it's official.
The bass on 'Modern Times' sounded real nice. On my altered 'Rocks', I include this BBC 4 version. I liked 'Feels Like' as well. I haven't listened to it in years. Wish the whole album had been mixed this way.
Now....if one could provide a version of 'My Baby Does Me' with the percussion lowered 90 percent or totally removed, I'd go for that.
WOW!!!!!!!!!
I really would have loved MBDMe if not for that damn called in programmed percussion. Should have simply used a whisk like in MMBlues. I skipped it on my 'Miracle' version, and then inserted MLHBS in its place, once I got a hold of that tune in the late 90s.
Thank you.
I am going to have to play around with this when I have some time.
I did the earls Court 39 2nd night performance and it sounded great. I did a few of the raw sessions and they were also brilliant. I also remixed Golders Green and some of Japan 85.
It does a pretty clean job with the singing and the drums of all things. Far from perfect but I've tried it on a few Queen songs and it's fun to play with!
I use splitter.ai, a free no-account website also based on Spleeter. It's been around for longer and originally only supported the 5-track function, but now also supports the 2-track function which is also useful.
