Reading the original "to be opened" annoucement, these words interested me:
"...and to take control of legendary producer/engineer David Richards’ mixing desk to create custom mixes of Queen tracks. Initial tracks offered will come from the band’s final Montreux album, “Made in Heaven”. For anyone who has ever wanted to hear a favourite Queen song without guitars, drums or bass, pull up just the piano and backing vocals, or hear just Freddie’s voice in solo, this will present a truly unique opportunity to do so."
While both Mother Love and Made In Heaven are still the only tracks to be remixed there (and with no leaked stems), the using of "initial" is quite strange. Is there an explanation about this?
I think, for technical reasons, they can't do more for now.
However, every year, on Freddie Birthday in Montreux, Justin Shirley Smith bring new songs to "remix". For that, he plugged his computer. to the "mixing desk", via a multitrack soundcard.

NO, it just has to do with interest and money. There is a budget for this experience which cannot be exceded unless there are rows in front of the entrance till mars .

I thought you were talking about the Montreux exhibition?!? THis is free i think. The Studio experience was with Innuendo at Metropolis studios 2 years ago right?
THe question is: Are we talking about the Montreux experience or the Metropolis one off studio visit (which was very expensive but must have been awesome from what I read). They should do the latter again.
The Studio Experience in Montreux is free !
At the Freddie Mercury Birthday, usually, Justin Shirley Smith brings tracks such as Under Pressure, A Winter's Tale, I Want It All, Bohemian Rhapsody and more. Maybe this year, due to the Miracle Boxset (I hope), we will have deep cuts from this album to remix ?
