I just saw this concert via a badly made audience video. Is there a better version somewhere? Freddie did a couple of things I haven't seen before.
He preceded Its a Hard Life with over 3 minutes of high soprano voiceplay interspersed with scatting till he segued into the Pagliacci opera intro;
Also, before Now I'm Here he had a moment with Deaky where he twirled around and played with Deaky s guitar strings alongside Deaky s hand for a moment.
A strangely innovative couple of moves- or have I missed him doing those things elsewhere?
Also- are there any good videos of this gig out there?
I'm not talking about the Impromptu by itself. I'm talking about the Impromptu- which is operatic- leading into the intro to Its A Hard Life- which is from the opera Pagliacci.

Are you serious?! This is THE BEST amateur video recording of Queen with Freddie.

Well, at least from the 80s.
The New York 76 and San Francisco 77 footage may be fragmentary, but the quality is outstanding considering they're Super 8 film (and they're filmed much closer to the stage).
But indeed, the Sydney footage is excellent for what it is - a single angle filmed from 200 feet away with a zoom. But some people don't have "bootleg ears" as it were, and have never seen old videos like this. It takes some adjusting, no doubt.
