How convenient, that the organizers planned that concert for the day after Q+AL will have played their concert in that exact stadium. Are they going to use the Queen equipment for that whole concert? |

Teg Dainty who are organizers are QAL's tour promoters so it's likely they asked about using the stage, makes sense really. |

k.d lang is a big surprise. I wonder if Tim Dormer will have a few words to give? He is a former Big Brother Australia and Canada contestant, and he loves Australia. I hope the concert raises money, it's needed now and will be needed for years yet. I have already donated, but I will do so again soon. |

Or is just the stage that is being loaned? Is there a logo? I only remember the logo on Roger‘s drumkit and in the beginning on the huge round video screen. I guess they will loan the stage with the sound system, lights and the video screens. Most of QAL‘s visual setup is created by the video screens. I‘m not sure, how much is left without it, because I haven’t seen the current stage myself yet. They might take out the podium for Roger and the stairs in the back, if that’s even possible. Maybe they won’t use the round upper video screen. I don’t think, they are going to use the VIP OnStage boxes either. But we will see. The easiest and cheapest would be to leave the stage as it is from the night before. And only take away, what isn’t needed. Then they need videos for the screens and the whole thing is going to look completely different. |

A concert of this magnitude will be quite the undertaking, I'm glad it seems to be all coming together. I hope it will be aired in North America, the more people that see it, could very well end up donating. |

What are people bitching about? The fucking continents on fire and millions of animals and wildlife are being incinerated and their idiot pm had been on vacation thinking everything is tip top because "global warming is a fallacy". I'm just glad they are supporting ANY kind of fundraising to hopefully stop it before everything is outright dead and the Fuckers make a strip mall out if it all like they'd done over here when decimating the wildlife in the Midwest in the 1800's. Like the guy singing or not that's FUCKING GENEROUS, THAT'S FUCKING "ACE " OF EM AND THAT'S FUCKING CREDIBLE OF EM. they just got my respect. |

Oh geez. No problem. Probably carrying a lot of weight from viewing the situation out there. Maybe i read an angle into that that wasn't there since I'm pretty red in the face (anger) about all that AND how it's still not a topical thing every gottdamned day. I am sorry as well. Yeah. It's great that all involved have got this together. Well done to Queen+ for donating the stage for the day. Even better that ticket prices have been kept reasonable so people can afford to go. The devastation has been immense in Australia, not just the east coast who have copped it the worst, but all over. The poor wildlife have been left decimated as have livestock. There's some devastating video footage online of a drive along a road between farms and to see the bodies of so much live stock and natural wildlife overtaken by the fires (remember kangaroos can move damn quick and these were just engulfed) is really gut wrenching. Whatever amount is raised from this event and many others which musos are putting on around the country and international donations is not going to be going to waste. so much has been lost already and there's still no end in site in some areas. |

It appears the concert is already sold out by now. Here is some Australian TV coverage from this morning: link They are also talking a bit about the stage that they are getting from Queen. They are also saying that the Q+AL concert the day before is sold out. |

If they loan their PA and lighting that's more money saved. If anyone is wondering about visuals and how it may work, think of the Central Park gig last year. A lot of Queen's set was on stage all day. |

About the screens: I was just wondering, if they would use the big upper screen, which they can move up and down for the concert. I think without it the people in the upper stands might be able to see the stage much better. But thinking about it: Is QAL even going to use that thing during the stadium tour? I would think yes, because it’s a big part of their stage and special effects. But I‘m not sure, how well this will translate from an arena to a huge stadium. Any ideas? |

More Australian TV coverage from today: link It says most artists are going to perform only a couple of songs, while the headliners are going to play a „mini set“. I guess that’s similar to Live Aid. |
