Hey, fellow rock fans.
Does anybody have tips for some AMAZING live performances? It can be any band, not only Queen, and it can be amazing for the "right" reasons, or for the "wrong reasons".
I would like to start this with a fantastic performance of "Stacked Actors", by the Foo Fighters from Tabernacle, Atlanta - nov. 3, 2000
I first saw this amazing concert on Showtime TV, bought the DVD, and then attended their live concert in Ohio this past summer. It was spectacular!
Jeff Lynne’s ELO Wembley or Bust ..... link
Speaking of Foo Fighters - I'm no fan, but How amazing was Grohl back behind the skins at that Nirvana reunion the other might. That is his rightful place. Great drummer and great BVs.

That was amazing. I never thought I'd see it happen which is even more special.
David Gilmour - Comfortably Numb from 1986 with Pete Townshend's Deep End band including Simon Phillips on drums: link
The Who - Love Reign O'er Me from 1996. Despite a few bum notes this is very powerful delivery of this epic song: link

I've yet to hear a sub-standard version of this amazing song. Remember when I first bought the Wall - (Christmas 1979) and was blown away that a song could have not one, but TWO incredible solos.

Shame, that a nice rendition of this is stunk up a little by Daltrey's weak live vocals. His (live) voice often having more cracks than the Great Wall of China.

To be honest I didn't like it at first, but then realised his emotional delivery & appearance/presence won me over. He was right saying that some false notes don't matter if the delivery and emotions are there.
Same story with my favourite pianist Artur Rubinstein. He played a lot of bum notes, even on studio recordings (it's there to be heard) but his playing alone and his sound was so unique it literally didn't matter.
To get rid of politics for a while, does anybody here like the early post-punk Blondie? If so, this is my favorite performance from the early days, on Musikladen in 1977
Fleetwood Mac at their peak in the mid-70s was nearly unbeatable - very few acts beat them in terms of delivery, passion and songwriting. These three performances are some of the stand out tracks. Go Your Own Way
^ This is what I call rock 'n' roll! The delivery is outstanding and the jam at the end I simply love... Rhiannon
^ This video features Stevie Nicks singing some of the best live vocals I've ever heard. I'm So Afraid
^ This video features a guitar solo from Lindsey Buckingham which is one of the best I've ever heard.

Early Muse is great. Matt's vocals in this one are insane. He nails this performance. Micro Cuts is an odd track, since it is sung completely in falsetto. The scream @2:03 is so amazing.
