I think all of us in this forum agree that Freddie Mercury had the best voice in the world.
But who do you think has/had the second best voice and so on?
For me it's Skye (Edwards) from Morcheeba. Check out her solo album:
Skye - In a low light (2015).
in rock? Brad Delph, Ronnie Dio, Graham Bonnet, Fish, Grace Slick, Robert Plant, Arthur Lee, Steve Winwood
in pop? far too many great voices...Levi Stubbs, Aretha Franklin, Brenda Holloway, Kate Bush, George Michael, Marvin Gaye, Michael Hutchence, Del Shannon, Irma Thomas
and not wishing to start a flame war - one or two of these are better singers than Freddie!
Of yeah, Kate Bush. Also would like to add Celine Dion even though I don't know a lot of her discography. And also a personal favorite, Alanis Morissette. George Michael fits the bill and just for his singing style and uniqueness, Roy Orbison.

Do we? :P
I think „best voice“ is up to your very personal taste.
If I look at my favorite bands and singers I wouldn’t really rate the voices. Freddie had a great voice. Frank Sinatra as well. Whitney Houston and Celine Dion at their best times. But I also like Bonnie Tyler or Nina Hagen. And Adam Lambert and Bruce Guthro. All very different and often singing very different styles of music. So, the best voice is subjective in my opinion.
Here is a fun bit: Adam playing Song Roulette.
( No, I don’t want to start a discussion or a fight about him and Freddie. I really like both. I simply love Adam‘s voice on Oh Holy Night. :). )
Please, enjoy it, if you want to and ignore it, if you aren’t interested. link
