i know that this maybe going to sound noobish or something for someone but while listening to Made in Heaven track Heaven for everyone one thing start to bugging me and that is when the song was truly recorded and wrote? Freddie voice on some parts sound "healthy" like it was recorded in 86 or earlier yet other parts sounds like from his ill days. I read on wiki(but i dont really want to count on that site since it can wrote false things sometimes) that the there was reports the song was supposed to be made for kind of magic album. So was some parts recorded really in 86, rest in late 80's yet realeased in 95 or am i just having crazy thinhking?
the vocals on the MIH album are the same as those on the Cross - Shove It (i think!). Too bad this wasn't on the AKOM album. Could have improved it greatly. Although, it would have fit better on The Works. Drop Man on The Prowl!
From memory the vocals are slightly different towards the end of the song, with a couple more adlibs on the made in heaven version, and an extra "love" thrown in there too.
Same session, alternative take.
there's a version of this song (running time 5:09) that had a piece of vocal genius/interplay between roger and Freddie.
In this world of cool deception
Just your smile can smooth my ride
These troubled days of cruel rejection
You come to me, purple
the subtle change for the second half of that last line is a thing of beauty - both in the same key, almost that you're not aware where Roger ends and Freddie begins.
Even now after all these years, i can still hear Roger and Freddie in the first part of the word "soothe" (i think left channel has more Rog than Fred / while right channel has more Fred than Rog)
incredible.

aha! - here you go:
7" single
A Heaven For Everyone Vocals – Roger Taylor - 5:07
B Heaven For Everyone - Vocals – Freddie Mercury - 4:50
12" maxi-single
A Heaven For Everyone - Vocals – Roger Taylor - 5:07
B1 Heaven For Everyone Vocals – Freddie Mercury - 4:50
B2 Contact 4:53
when I converted it to mp3 it gains the 2 seconds of silence.
If my memory serves me, it's on the UK album too? Not sure, as I can't find my copy. I can only find my USA copy at the moment (the one with the 2nd Shelf Mix).

Shove it UK version has the Freddie version, also European issues of Heaven For Everyone (7'' and 12''), Shove it US version contains Roger version, also UK issues of Heaven For Everyone (7'' and 12'')
so much great information here, guys thank you so much for your answers and help. Listening to Fred and Roger harmonies on Cross version is really nice and darn good, it would be interesting to have some similiar ones on queen version as well.
Out of all of the reused tracks on Made in Heaven this is the one that really gives me the feeling that the other three sat down and worked out how Freddie would have reworked it...
It reminds me so much of Roger's a Kind of Magic Vs Freddie's, but a more complete song, obviously.

Yep, I've added a couple of versions of this beautiful song to my music player for my holiday flight tomorrow.
