I'd read the news on TWitter Sunday and of course it was upsetting. I was also days away from mailing a package to get signed by him (old 45's from 1960 featuring original Big Bird and O.G orange OSCAR the Grouch)
It's upsetting for people of a certain generation. Like me.
I still rock my Oscar shirts all the time. ..and though I'd seen a funny VANITY FAIR YouTube video featuring Big Bird taking a lie detector test. ..The guy doing his voice is terrible.
Ah.
It's time to send out ALL those dopey letters of admiration to folks before they officially kick it.
As for Spinney and Oz and Henson. ..It's still amazing what they managed to pull off
In the last few says it's been very sad to learn that René Auberjonois, who played Father Mulcahey in MASH, Clayton Endicott in Benson, and of course Odo in Star Trek DS9, passed away. Roxette lead singer Marie Fredriksson also passed away. I was surprised she was in her 60s. It doesn't seem that long ago she was singing 'Joyride', although it was actually 28 years ago.
