Hi guys, I just mount this video with images of the new documentary about Ballet For Life. There's a new 'alternatives takes' from that live performance on the documentary, but it miss like a minute of the whole song. So I mix this alt takes with some originals from the video on Greatest Flix III and I add some more of the rehearsals.
I hope you enjoy! link
It's so moving to see something like this! I haven't seen that Elton biopic everybody's talking about, but this video is poignant enough to be wonderful...
Amazing Elton performance, to my taste. It's evident he understood that song and delivered heartfelt vocals (the best one after Freddie, in my opinion). It's even the last time John Deacon performs live in Queen. That makes it even more emotional and unique.
The only thing not-so-perfect in this rendition of the song is Brian's performance. It's ok, but it seems like he's trying too hard to do more but can't for some reason. And, also, I would like to discover more Elton's songs. It seems like I will like them.
Big thanks for sharing this Freddie rey. You're truly the king of kings ;)
As a BIG Elton John fan, i have to say only one thing...
There are life ahead of Your Song, Rocket Man and Candle In The Wind ;)
I understand general public only will listen to the Greatest Hits, but h has many jewels in his catalogue.

^ some interesting choices there. I'd just recommend to listen to every album until A Single Man 1978. I particularly love Captain Fantastic. Skip the Victim Of Love (1979) compilation thing, it sucks. Then check some of the hits from the 80s to see if you like that sound & stuff, if you do, check the albums deeper. From the 90s albums, the weakest is The Big Picture. The Last Song and The One (song) are great but I'd still pick Made In England over The One (album).
I’m a HUGE Elton fan! Will be seeing him 4 times his last month here in the states.. as for albums i agree with Chief listen to the original albums then stop at single man. Honestly I kind of like Victim of love (the song) then for the 80s just listen to the hits and so on. Will admit I do enjoy his last studio album Wonderful Crazy Night
Elton in the eighties had very good albums (Too Low For Zero, Breaking Hearts, the first side of Ice On Fire and Sleeping With The Past)
But albums like Leather Jackets, part of Jump Up or 60% of 21 At 33 sometimes give a bad impression of his work of that era.

Some B sides of that time are great, aren't they? ;) (PS: I'm Antonio from Spain)

Antonio, I had no clue man! Although some of those songs you suggested sounded suspiciously similar to what you would recommend :)
