I doubt seriously that there will be a release. Rogers The Lot was also no success... sadly! I'd also love to have such a proper set of Brians solo stuff, but moneywise there will be no success of such an release.

Not a success in what way? Roger was aware of how popular or unpopular his solo material is or was. The UK/Non-US release sold out. And do you think either Brian and Roger NEED such a release to be a "success" for them to be able to release such things? They have been in a fincial situation for "quite a while" to do pretty much anything they like, and can lose money on such ventures with little consequence to themselves.
I'd imagine a Brian solo box hasn't come out, because a - it is likely Brian that has held back the proposed Queen archives sets and doesn't like releasing such things b - it'll highlight how lightweight his solo material is.
Ain't going to happen - there will, likely, be so many rights issues associated with all the collaborations and cover version's he's on that the wrangling will be too exensive / bothersome to actually bother with. Great idea as a concept, but in reality, a non-starter.
It's not a "concept" dude.
A concept would have be a compilation of re-recorded versions with Australian Symphony Orchestra and Andi Deris, for example.
We all know that Brian works only with friends (a.k.a. "people who acknowledge my greatness") but Andi has a studio in Tenerife, and Brian went to Tenerife observatory, so there is some kind of connection between them.
Although the fact that Andi has a voice may ruin the whole imaginary project.
Andi Deris? Michael Kiske is his buddy now and the project would be amazing! Brian May + Michael Kiske
Andi Deris has said that Freddie Mercury was his favorite singer. Michael Kiske mentioned this too.
Andi Deris???? Man where the fuck have I been?!
I had no idea the two ever were friends or planned to work on anything. I freaking love HELLOWEEN (both eras) and was fortunate to have attended their BEST OF BOTH WORLDS "PUMPKINS UNTIED" Tour.

I agree with this. He needs another album to truly have a box set worth releasing. He also may be holding back because he has a few finished songs but not enough for an album. And just waiting for the right time to finish the LP and then release a box.
Two and a half album plus mainly collaborations and some demos isn’t enough for an anthology.

Agreed. Am I in a minority here for thinking what a waste of time those 2 studio albums with Ms. Ellis were? If he had spent that time recording just one "Brian May solo" album ....
Didn't he once say he won't do another solo album because he thinks his voice isn't good enough? I would love another album but he seems to have moved on from that kind of stuff. Kelly is his voicebox these days.
The box set is finished and waiting (forever) to be released due to copyrights matters. It doesn't matter if Brian has nuff albums or not. Point is -it was- going to be released... now we don't know if that'd ever happen.

WTAF? Have we strayed in to Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey?

A concept is an idea. The idea of a box set, you fucking moron.

That would be so ironic.
A Roger Taylor box set
A Brian May box set
But no freakin' Queen box set.
There was a NOTW one a Rainbow one and Hammersmith one
Rainbow was a great release. The other two not so much. Also, these just cover one particular era, not a whole career.
It is Queen we are dealing with. One of the biggest bands on the planet.

They should have done it like The BEatles - every Album gets its box. Where is the problem?! NOTW was worth the prize alone for the Raw sessions
