Is tonights show at the Microsoft convention crossing a rubicon? Not sure how I feel about Queen doing a corporate gig tonight. Presumably they are earning a fortune from it. Is it a full show? Full rig? Hopefully not sharing a stage with the raffle. I see from the convention brochure that the band are on stage from 9 to 11 but buses back to the hotel start at 9.30 for anyone who isn't interested. I'd be fascinated to know how big the crowd is. Tough gig I imagine.
According to someone on a different forum who attended the show...
- Hammer to Fall followed Now I'm Here (presumably Seven Seas of Rhye and Keep Yourself Alive were dropped)
- Bicycle Race, Machines (Or 'Back to Humans') and Brian's Guitar Solo were dropped too
- But everything else remained including '39 and Doing All Right.
The user is going to publish the full setlist later.
Queen shouldnt play live anymore. This is not Queen, which I loved so much. As long as Freddie is involved in projects I will call it QUEEN. The quality is more low level due to Lambert I guess . I miss the chemistry, it is all gone. Especially the voice doesnt fit to the songs they are performing. For me, Rodgers had a warmer sound But I understand he couldnt reach all the high notes.
It is more a commercial project these days.. The succes is from is the past with Freddie. I hope it will end soon
I really hope more projects with Freddie will released.
Also a hologram performance with Freddie would be goosebumps to.
The release of Time waits for no one is another, but remembers every one what we miss now !

You don't like it but that doesn't mean they should stop it means just don't watch, nobody's forced to be involved in these shows but there's thousands of us who are loving it and tons of people who weren't around to see original Queen live and still want to see two original members playing live. Brian & Roger ruled out playing with a hologram years ago, they're having a blast so even if it's not for you just at least be happy for them, it's not gonna last forever.
If you say you miss the chemistry (which is there), then a hologram rules it out completely!
Also, Paul Rodgers was perfectly capable of reaching the high notes. The problem was his suitability in delivering camp and pop songs.
