Rhapsody Tour Setlist?
| ggo1 11.07.2019 03:21 |
First show of the tour tonight. Any surprises in the new set? There was talk of Tenement Funster. At least Roger said Brian was trying to persuade him to play it in that Mojo interview. Whether that survived the rehearsals is not something I would hold my breath over. |

So far... Innuendo (instrumental) (tape?) Now I'm Here Seven Seas of Rhye Hammer to Fall Killer Queen Don't Stop me now In the Lap of the Gods (Revisited) Somebody to Love The Show Must Go On |

| ggo1 11.07.2019 04:59 |
Breakthru and the invisible man? Not sure I'm believing this. But it is 30 years since The Miracle. |
| The Real Wizard 11.07.2019 05:02 |
Yeah, it's getting stupid now. |
| The Real Wizard 11.07.2019 05:03 |
And stupider. |
| ggo1 11.07.2019 05:05 |

Very happy with that Setlist! |
| Pim Derks 11.07.2019 09:20 |
Who wants to place a bet that both Machines and Doing All Right will be scraped after 4-5 shows? Machines sounds pretty good though. Really hope they keep it in the set! |
| ActionThisDay 11.07.2019 09:46 |
Just watched Machines on YT: bit rusty but quite good. |
| runner_70 11.07.2019 11:39 |
Embarrassing as usual. May wearing a mask like Ghost do is a new alltime low |
| ggo1 11.07.2019 12:25 |
All in all it looks a decent set list, nothing that sets my heart on fire though. Last time when they added It's Late and SYW I was absolutely desperate to see them performed live. Of course ultimately they dropped those two songs before they reached Toronto and I wonder if the same fate will befall Machines. With Doing All Right featuring on the movie soundtrack it probably has a better chance of survival. I think the guitar solo is still too late in the set and the changes are more about moving stuff around rather than doing anything radical. But they did pretty much announce this as a greatest hits set. All that being said, ive seen nothing other than a written down set list so cant judge it as a show. Hopefully it looked and sounded great. |

They played 31 songs, they played songs they never played before or more than 40 years ago. I think it’s highly impressive. Someone who is not happy with this setlist and this quality performance should really get their feet on the ground. How many deep cuts were Queen doing in 1986? How many songs did they play per gig? There you have your answer. |
| bucsateflon 11.07.2019 16:01 |
Good show as always... |

There you have your answer. So you consider "Speech" /(nr 6)/"Innuendo" (Taped Intro)"/ Band Introduction/Doin Alright (Snippet) and Guitar SOlo as Songs? Interesting How many Deep Cuts Queen played in 1986: Answer: A Kind Of Magic / WWTL FOrever/Lap Of the Gods/Friends Will be Friends/TEar It Up and a Rock n Roll Medley for example . The Magic Songs were NEW and fresh at the time and QUEEN (who stopped existing in 1991) were an innovative active recording group very far away from the sad nostalgia cover band they are now. And they had a frontman you could call a singer not a lame asian ladyboy with a girls voice |

Amazing setlist and from some of pictures it seems like it's a visual treat. I kinda hope that Machines stays on the setlist, at least until I can see them in NYC. Same with Keep Yourself Alive. I just love it. I predict the first song to go will be One Vision but hopefully they all stay or get replaced with exciting stuff. I can also see them dropping, say, TSMGO in favor of TATDOOL or perhaps Dragon Attack in favor of some crappy Adam Lambert solo song. I'm very pleased with this setlist. The easier path would have been to do exclusively a Greatest Hits setlist to cater to their new BoRhap Movie fanbase but they're actually taking advantage of the fact that more people now know Keep Yourself Alive, Seven Seas of Rhye, Now I'm Here and Doing All Right, etc. Amazing. |
| stevelondon20 11.07.2019 17:14 |
Runner_70: You really hate Adam don't you? Very sad that you can't just enjoy the experience for what it is. A great visual and Audio experience! Open up a bit mate. Don't be so fucking miserable. You may actually enjoy the show!!! |

I hate Lamebird you are spot on. He sounds like a lil Girl is destryoing my fave songs and looks like a twat. The couch is back as well. And what about the motoryccle? And May wearing a masque like Ghost??? He butchered the Bo RHap solo as well. Embarrassing just when you thought it could not go worse they prove you wrong. Stage looks lame as well |

Be good if we get similar in the UK. |

The set list was awesome. I was blown away by Machines and the Innuendo opening was epic with gorgeous lighting. |

Haha I wouldn't be surprised if some people were on drugs here. |

Just saw the Innuendo Intro which was really good. Machines though, that was excellent! Really enjoyed the performance! What do you all reckon? |
| MrFunster 12.07.2019 19:09 |
I enjoyed doin alright, but just one verse . It sounds a little bit of teasing They re just so cautius in everything I think lot of same songs they perform each time Unfortunately i cant get used to the voice of adam' so over the top to my opinion. I really miss freddie and hope that a hologram will make it in their final concerts ...... |
| Queenman!! 12.07.2019 19:39 |
Did anyone noticed they shortened a lot of the songs within the already incomplete played ones. It’s almost one big medley. Doin all right ( first verse) , TYMD, ( 1st verse and chorus) , one vision ( no long Brian may solo encore) , Hammer to Fall ( no long Brian may solo encore) killer Queen ( no last verse) , Bicycle Race ( no guitar solo and last verse) , Dragon Attack ( no encore Brian solo), Now I’M here ( No long Brian solo) keep yourself Alive( only first verse and chorus) and so on .. So it seems Brian plays less and less guitar and mostly sticks to the same ritual. Any more?? Thoughts?? |
| stevelondon20 12.07.2019 19:43 |
Adam slightly forgot the words to Machines. Did anyone spot that? |

Some of the songs you mentioned have been played this way for some time (Killer Queen, Hammer to fall). Bicycle Race was even longer than before. I would say, if Brian wanted to play less guitar, he should skip the Guitar Solo. He didn’t, so the reason must be something else. Like fitting in more songs and leaving out the more boring instrumental soli. (No, I don’t think, they are boring, but I also enjoyed 7 minutes of It’s Late.) |

You do realize that even with Freddie, Queen never played Killer Queen, Bicycle Race, or Dragon Attack in full? Also, Keep Yourself Alive was cut down after 1979, and Hammer to Fall has been performed that way for most of the Queen+ years. |

Alright. I just watched the dang intro/Now I'm here. They also seem to be playing Track 13 and possibly "L'Amant"? Then the orchestral version of INNUENDO.... hopefully not indications of a retirement. However, best thing i noticed is they finally did the Now I'm Here bit properly. It's great to see "the crown" recreated. That's all i can comment on. Looks fantastic Back whenever it was; so friggin long ago, QPL requested submissions for setlists and this one reflects the suggestions I'd had back in the days. Right down to recreating the reappearing visage bit. That was pretty cool. Too bad I'd not planned on going. It's a more rock n roll oriented set. They play the FORUM this Friday. Also cool to see the robot Freddie pop in for Machines. I guess technically that counts as another Freddie appearance. Striking visuals. Nice treat |
| The Real Wizard 16.07.2019 17:11 |
Too bad they dropped One Vision after the first night. It sounds fantastic - and Brian nails everything including the tapping solo. Lambert kills it too. Mercury never nailed the middle section live, but Lambert sure does. |
| Holly2003 16.07.2019 18:07 |
AL hits the notes but it sounds like something from Cats or Guys and Dolls. That's the kind of voice he has. When Fred sang it, it was a rock song. Check out this performance of the song with Paul Rodgers. In many ways it's inferior. Brian doesn't quite nail the licks at the start, Rodgers forgets the words, and the backing vocals are a bit dodgy. But it's still, in my view, a more exciting and more fun performance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OL7fUeLqa0 |
| The Real Wizard 17.07.2019 00:52 |
Brian and Roger trainwreck the intro, but apart from that, yeah, Paul Rodgers is his own man for sure. Lambert is clearly just emulating the original, while Paul is a bluesman giving it his own style. Different strokes, I guess. I like them both for different reasons. |
| ggo1 17.07.2019 03:00 |
So there's plenty of snippets on you tube from the tour. Have to say Machines is getting better show by show... So undoubtedly they will drop it soon, but it was excellent in SJ. My only hope for them not dropping it, is they did go to the trouble of creating a robot Freddie and use his voice so that might keep it in. I've never truly forgiven them for dropping Its Late last time around. |

@The Real Wizard Freddie nailed the middle section of One vision live in Lieden here and also in few other concerts too in magic tour in 1986 and this is the best version! link Nothing against Adam performing with Brian and Roger. It is their decision. |

I'm just happy they haven't dropped Machines yet and hope they keep it for at least another week until I see them :). I was sad to see One Vision go but it didn't surprise me one bit. I couldn't care less about Dragon Attack, really. It was exciting when they brought it back for the Paul Rodgers tour in 2006 and also as a surprise addition in Atlantic City 2014 (my last show that tour) but I will not miss it. It seems there's been some shifting around, moving down Fat Bottomed Girls, etc. so I think this is as close to a "rolling setlist" that we will get from these guys. It's just the way it is. The show looks amazing and I'm sure I'm going to love it. I've heard audio snippets and seen the setlist but I have avoided watching any videos to allow myself to be amazed at the show. |
