Brian was raised on a scissor lift 15 feet into the air at those shows. . . .

The curved down stage (front) screen was about 15ft high. The scissor lift raised Brian to the top of the screen and the Galaxy montage was shown on the down and upstage screens making Brian appear to "float" in space for part of his solo.
The screen and lift appear higher as the front lip of the stage was over five feet above the arena floor.
Anyway he certainly wasn't 100 ft in the air. ;)

It wouldn't be safe to be 100 feet in the air. I get clammy thinking of less.
PS... Sweetcaroline has said Brian was literally in outer space while doing it. Ha!
