**PRESS RELEASE** (22.05.2019) - Los Angeles, CA Queen, the multi-award winning rock group announce the re-release of the band's back catalogue of recorded material (1973-1991) Queen Productions Limited in association with Universal Music have taken the decision to abandon the usual practise of using band insiders or industry "legends" for this process and have hired the mysterious "CMI" for this career defining release. With complete, unprecedented access to the tape archive of Queen as a band and also the archives of the individual band members - Freddie Mercury (vocals & piano), Brian May (guitar), Roger Taylor (Drums) and John Deacon (bass) - CMI has been given carte blanche to create an on-line archive of - literally - everything Queen committed to tape, as a band, in the studio. Hundreds of hours of tapes have been digitally, meticulously transferred and restored in glorious high resolution and will be available to purchase in part or as a whole by the casual music listener after the perfect sounding version of Bohemian Rhapsody or the devoted, hard-core fan after a first listen to the long-rumored Hangman. It's all here. Due for release in late 2020, fans will be able to create on-line lay lists, convert to MP3 for iPods ready for casual listening on or high quality blu-ray discs of the best available sound quality heard yet. The possibilities now are endless and, once again, Queen Reigns The World as leaders in recorded music archiving. (See Queen+ Adam Lambert royally fuck the legacy over, everywhere they play, in 2019) |

dysan 22.05.2019 14:51 |
Was just reported on BBC World News too |
pittrek 22.05.2019 14:58 |
I am sometimes "slow" with finding out if somebody is serious or fucking with me, so please - is it "our" CMI? Is this a legit thing or a joke? |
oliverd05 22.05.2019 15:08 |
Well there’s nothing on queenonline so I would take it as not true ?? |
bucsateflon 22.05.2019 15:09 |
fake until proven |
dysan 22.05.2019 15:13 |
I just picked up The Evening Standard and it's on there too. |
aristide1 22.05.2019 15:22 |
Instead of mocking QP you just managed to ridicule all of us, the hard to please fans. |
Golden Salmon 22.05.2019 15:25 |
Fuck, I got excited for a second. |
dudeofqueen 22.05.2019 15:28 |
Yes - "our" CMI and explains his absence over on the Fam Mixes section. |
dysan 22.05.2019 15:41 |
I think 'Fam Mixes' is a category on youporn |
Chinwonder2 22.05.2019 16:30 |
If this is true, why haven’t they employed Chief Mouse to restore the various footage? It’s about time they got someone decent in there for restoring the footage, instead of the colour blind idiots who graded the Rock Montreal colours... -Chin |
stevelondon20 22.05.2019 17:43 |
Nothing online after a search. I hope this isnt bollocks. |
The Fairy King 22.05.2019 17:45 |
Ugh. More hidden anti-Q+AL propaganda, disguised as "news". :') This place is getting ridiculously sad. "Lay lists"? Really? Maybe read before you press the 'Post message' button next time. |
. 22.05.2019 17:55 |
Dude is awful, but I like him. |
dysan 22.05.2019 18:09 |
Theresa May has just announced off the back of this press release that both sides of the Brexit debate have realised it's all silly arguing and we should all be friends because this news changes everything. |
cmi 22.05.2019 19:14 |
Is this the real life or is this just fantasy...? |
dave76 22.05.2019 19:24 |
Nice to have a laugh. It was entertaining because we all know the vault has been tightely shut for decades and to my guess it will stay that way. |
Holly2003 22.05.2019 19:32 |
This release could've been so much better. When are they ever going to give hardcore fans what they want ... |
BruceMc 22.05.2019 20:14 |
Not enough mistakes in it to be an official press release |

they really should follow the neil young template. it would be a much cheaper more profitable way to make money off their demos etc. this is the proper way to release an anthology in the 21st century. they should have a 3-tiered membership platform. month to month at say 3$ per month which only gives you access to studio material. 10$ month to month for access to studio and live shows. 150$ annual for access to studio, live and the unreleased studio archive. no purchases, or mp3 etc - streaming only. then eventually, once the waters have been tested, they can calculate the market share (using streaming data) for a physical release for a proper anthology (and i'm thinking pink floyd rather than the beatles.... that's how you do it) |

Fleetwood Mac have "super" deluxe box sets of some their albums and the amount of content on them is amazing. These are the discs on Fleetwood Mac: Disc 1: The Original Album & Singles Disc 2: Early Versions & Live from the Warner Bros. Sound Stage Disc 3: Live from the Tour Disc 4: DVD (5.1 Surround & 24/96 Stereo Mixes) These are the discs on Rumours: Disc 1: The Original Album Disc 2: Live, 1977 Rumours World Tour Disc 3: The Rosebud Film (DVD) Disc 4: More from the Recording Sessions Disc 5: Roughs & Outtakes, Early Demos, and Jam Sessions These are the discs on Mirage: Disc 1: Original Album – 2016 Remaster Disc 2: B-Sides, Outtakes, Sessions Disc 3: Live at The Forum, Los Angeles, CA October 21-22, 1982 Disc 4: Audio DVD that contains a 5.1 Surround Mix & 24/96 Stereo Audio of Original Album --- If Queen were to continue doing a four disc deluxe edition of an album, e.g. the original album and any non-album stuff; early versions, outtakes and sessions; songs from the album's live tour (we now know there are good quality soundboard recordings from at least NOTW Tour 1977) and 5.1 Surround Mix, it would be AMAZING! Fleetwood Mac have now done with all their albums in their classic line-up, and of course they all vary as one of them didn't have a live tour so they filled the space up with 12" mixes. So there should always be a solution to always have four discs. And more importantly, all of Fleetwood Mac's complete deluxe editions are available to stream on Spotify. |

I feel the 2011 masters started like this and then red tape and vetos made them what we have now. |
bucsateflon 23.05.2019 08:31 |
Queen is not in the same league with other artists you mentioned, what works others wont suffice for Queen. |
jacksonmerc 23.05.2019 08:43 |
Wow. I had a semi on then. Now it's just a big flop. |
dysan 23.05.2019 09:48 |
Pic or it didn't happen |
dudeofqueen 23.05.2019 11:11 |
It's all real << CMI is, currently, engaged in mixing - from the original Trident masters - Silver Salmon, Hangman and Jailhouse Rock. This will accompany footage of the band recording those songs and captured on 8mm by John. This has been newly-discovered amongst various other reels of film he documented his early days with the band on stage and in the studio. Fans have EVERYTHING to look forward to next year when this digital archive starts to be rolled out - Universal will begin at the beginning and end at the end. As should be the case with all things. On yer marks, get set........... |
Wiley 23.05.2019 11:22 |
If Queen ever released 4-6 disc Deluxe Editions of their albums they would include the 2011 remasters and the corresponding CD singles for each album from The Singles Collection. And Queen Rock Montreal for no apparent reason. |
dysan 23.05.2019 11:48 |
4-6 discs is unlikely |
popy 23.05.2019 13:32 |
So real you can't find this so called press release anywhere. Shouldn' it be all over the... press? Any link to it? Of course there's no link, and i wonder why people respond to this fake news as if it was real. |
dysan 23.05.2019 14:14 |
Because when you've stared into the blackness for as long as we have, we like a nice bit of fun. |
dudeofqueen 23.05.2019 14:42 |
popy, re: >Shouldn' it be all over the... press? Any link to it? Of course there's no link, and i wonder why people respond to this fake news as if it was real. It probably should be, yes, but given the lack of interest in Queen worldwide from ANYONE other than devoted fans, no one bothers to carry the story. There's far too much interest in Olympic athletes having their tackle cut off then wearing dresses or big fat ginger blokes that try to piss off the Chinese to bother wasting space on something like this. Still - QPL has a duty to issue Press Releases just in case someone does manage to pick it up....... |
Golden Salmon 23.05.2019 15:37 |
Do you think we should email this to Brian? He will probably think he forgot and could just go along with it. "Uhhh, yeah... CMI is the best in business, we all know that, don't we? Look forward to the new releases, folks! Bri" Worth a shot IMO. What do we even have to lose? |
dudeofqueen 23.05.2019 16:16 |
Golden Salmon, re: >Worth a shot IMO. What do we even have to lose? That Tunney woman whom - I believe - still modifies (and nullifies) all submissions to replies and queries to the curly-haired, clog wearing badger-saver and there's NO chance this will "get through" The Gatekeeper. Give it a try and see what happens chap....... As a note - from experience - the less correct the grammar and spelling (ie make it look like it's come from a t-shirt-wearing, nutty Argentinian fan as opposed to a fan that's read and digested the history and understands the issues QPL create), the more chance you have of getting it put at the feet of The Red Special Maker. |

I would ask him in person, but he hasn't spoken to me since I started my basement work. |
dudeofqueen 23.05.2019 16:48 |
Robbie, re: >I would ask him in person, but he hasn't spoken to me since I started my basement work. How's that going? Jim still pissed at you? BTW is your missus available for rent for a couple of hours like last week; got something special lined up for hear revolving around a bouncy castle, chrome pole and loganberry jam.......... |
Khizzy 23.05.2019 17:02 |
Poor Greg Brooks, out of a job. Best of luck to CMI! Looking forward to hearing those first Imperial College gigs with early versions of Queen II tracks and those unreleased songs from Made In Heaven, particularly the one that Freddie managed to somehow record after Mother Love. Awesome stuff! |

I thought Brian was fond of creatures that like to burrow underground, not so it seems. |

You live at Number 2 Kurgan? Used to live not a million miles away myself. |

Yes, if the tunnelling goes to plan I should come up somewhere in his archive. |

Everything you read on this thread is true. |
dysan 24.05.2019 21:32 |
I'm not sure it would be a great idea having new masters of the tracks set to their original recording speed. |
