***UPDATE:***
geez, it just sounds like that old interview again
Maybe Roger is confusing "not social" with SOCIOPATH. If he is, he's either trolling JD or being a dick link
There’s a quote from the recent documentary. It’s all rehash of stuff we’ve heard before, and can mostly be found in Wikipedia anyway. There’s no new interview with Roger.
yeah. that's what I was thinking.
But the article said 5/10/2019
How they can keep reposting old shit as new shit, is beyond me. Journalism is dead man...

If Roger genuinely didn't mean sociopath, you would think he/Brian/QPL would have apologised/published a correction. These 2 parties are at war, big time. The repeat negative comments about John - if John was "ill", what's with the attitude from Brian and Roger?
It does seem weird that John doesn't speak to Brian or Roger anymore. I'm not defending Roger or am against John but if you knew someone for 26 years and then that person decided never to see you again let alone speak to you then perhaps Brian describing John as 'delicate' may be the reality.
I just hope that John is happy, and that Brian and Roger are still in contact with John, even if it's not personal but on business terms.
They haven't spoken in about 20 years, except through lawyers.
Of course it's frustrating for Brian and Roger. We can only wonder about the complexities of these relationships between them, which began about 50 years ago. And we still have no idea how or why they fell out. And I'm sure we never will. Few things in the world of music are more tight-lipped than this one.
I think there is a proper reason for John Deacon to not be speaking to Brian and Roger even in private. I mean, it is one thing to not want to be in the music industry but quite a different matter to not even speak to your old band mates. Definitely more going on here than meets the eye. Future will tell.
What if John was still planning to cone back, but he got too offended about what rog said so he decided not to anymore. eh, don't mind me, I just thought of it. don't @ me.
Realistically, I highly doubt that John would make a come back. He's been pretty secluded in his private life for over 20 years. It is interesting that he doesn't seem to have contact with Bri and Roger. My guess, as with many others, is that he doesn't agree with the road Queen has taken. And I think that calling him a sociopath is a harsh word to describe an unsocialble introvert, which isn't a bad thing. Some people just don't want to be bothered with others.

I would want John to come back and help with Anthology series as one last gift for his fans.
It is just a wish. It's John's prerogative to do whatever he wants.
Look at John and Roger here in 1994. Looked like they were such a good match. Wonder what changed that. Sorry about the unclickable link Mooghead: link
Sociopath is totally the wrong word to describe someone who prefers not to mix socially/superficially and/or be the centre of attention. Roger either misspoke or doesn't know the meaning of the word but then he never was the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Probably this has come up before but here Roger and Brian explain John's retirement in Paris 1997 rehearsal footage:
"severely traumatised by losing Freddie"
"desperately uncomfortable"
"I can never do this again"
Thanks Holly for posting this.
Based on the limited shots of John, John looked very stiff and uncomfortable throughout the rehearsals and through the first half of the performance, although he did appear to loosen up somewhat in the last two minutes of the performance.
It is a pity that anxiety appeared to have a grip on John. However, John had nothing to prove and certainly earned his retirement.

Thanks for the link, Holly. Watched this last night and found it interesting. It’s just sad to watch someone singing Freddie’s part even if it is Elton John.
