It seems lots of us fans love to see footage of queen/freddie in action and some of you have fab footage you can share. Please feel free to do so. Friendly banter is welcome . |

doughnut 04.05.2019 09:02 |
thanks Mooghead I have seen that, it's a long thread. A few of us have been chatting on another thread and we were sidetracking the convo so we decided to move over to here to make it easier. |

Hello everybody, I'm here :) crazy little thing is not finished yet. But if you want you can listen to Somebody to love with intros from various gigs. It's not polished yet, i didn't know I will share it with somebody :) But I think it's still enjoyable :) |

another one bites the dust live in Vienna....Freddie and the bath robe. link |
doughnut 04.05.2019 10:25 |
that great Mika, he was so unique :) |
mika251 04.05.2019 10:35 |
doughnut I want to come back to previous discussion about aggression in his performance and I agree with you that it was great and I love it. On the other hand, there was somenthing very special on Magic tour, some kind of softness, even his eyes are much kinder. I can't explain it. For example Another one bites the dust in Knebworth is very special to me, it has its drive as usual but he shouts at the audience: "Sing it!" and "Thank you!" when they do so. And then again: "Do it for me!" and I don't know I melt like butter everytime I hear it. He seems to really appreciate the cooperation of the audience and he doesn't take it for granted. The introduction of this song is worth to mention too. It took me ages to find the uncut version :) |

doughnut wrote: another one bites the dust live in Vienna....Freddie and the bath robe. linkThis one is great too. I still don't understand how he managed not to break his neck. |
doughnut 04.05.2019 11:46 |
love the intro lol ...you can hear the shock of some of the audience . The end is little bitter sweet knowing what we do now and that they didn't tour again. I do love the magic tour and I understand what you are saying. The Hungarian leg of the tour is a particular fav of mine. no one like Freddie :) |
mika251 04.05.2019 14:42 |
There are lots of bitter sweet moments on this tour. I will always wonder what did he really know. Back to happier times :) I have to mention Seibu Lions 1982 again - this concert was amazing as a whole, it's a pity there are only few songs on the video. My another favourite moment is Now I'm here/Put out the fire/Dragon attack medley, they always made Now I'm here and Dragon attack together and it worked but IMO this is even better, the moment of surprise when Put out the fire begins is priceless. Apart from the fact it is my favourite Hot Space song, he performed it amazingly, including some very special dance moves. Yes and Impromptu at the end of Now I'm here is one of his best too, IMO link |
doughnut 04.05.2019 15:31 |
Thank you for this, Freddie is so mesmerising and full of energy, he really did give it his all for the fans., I wish I had a time machine and could transport to a gig. Now I'm Here and Dragon Attack are in the my top 10, at the moment Dragon Attack is my go to song. I also love the live performance from the Bowl of Action this Day. Freddie and Roger sound amazing. I like the HOt Space album This is why I am finding it hard to accept Adam singing the songs......I really thought I might change my mind after the doc but it didn't help. Have you seen this one? Buenos Aires 81 link |

Mika & doughnut - Good morning or afternoon !! - Just getting on today and happy to see this thread. So many thanks to both of you. Saturdays are for running errands and catching up on household chores that get left behind during the work week - but this is much more entertaining!! My "watch later" section of Youtube is getting filled as I do have things to get accomplished today!! Mika - I did listen "Another One Bites the Dust" sound bite. The way he interacts with the crowd is incredible. I wish I could listen to that in my car!! |

Doughnut, Have the guys closed the other thread PM me . |
dysan 04.05.2019 17:06 |
You guys are cute xx |
doughnut 04.05.2019 17:10 |
Chevyman the thread is still open, I started this one as Mika and I were chatting about our fav performances and we worried we were taking over Thor's thread. We can share youtube videos to our hearts content here and boy there are a lot to share lol . Mika shared a video of all the different ways Freddie started 'somebody to love' . This is what I love about Queen, Freddie always said the gigs wouldn't be the same as what is on the records. She has one for 'crazy little thing ' too. Emdee My 'watch' section of youtube is rather full. There are just so many to watch, I love it. |
doughnut 04.05.2019 17:12 |
aren't we just Dyson :) You got anything good to share ? |
dysan 04.05.2019 17:18 |
You mean link from youtube? No. |
doughnut 04.05.2019 17:30 |
Dyson the Buenos Aires 81 I found from your recommendation on another thread. Thanks for that |
dysan 04.05.2019 17:50 |
Jolly good. 80-82 Queen is my favourite live Queen. Check out the audience tape commentary on Real Wizard's site at queenlive.ca and then go to the QZ spreadsheet / youtube and listen to something which tickles your fancy. Literally weeks and weeks of fun. |
dysan 04.05.2019 17:51 |
Also, it's DysAn you doughnut. |
doughnut 04.05.2019 17:56 |
opps sorry Dysan and thank you |
doughnut 04.05.2019 18:05 |
I've realized that I have already found this website and read a lot of the audience commentary for the Magic Tour. Many more to keep me busy |
mika251 04.05.2019 18:11 |
Dysan I understand that stuff we are discussing right now is miles under your master level of Queen knowledge but... We are getting there. Please have patience with us. I know in eyes of many old members here we are ruining this forum but, live and let live, what do you think? Right know I'm going through bootlegs in Gregsynths YouTube and the only thing I pity is that 99% is quality wise not good enough to listen to in my car. So the things I'm most familiar with are official releases because of this. It doesn't mean we don't know anything else :) |
dysan 04.05.2019 18:30 |
I said it was cute. I meant it. |

Bob's page is pure gold. It goes hand in hand with Greg on YouTube, and it means endless fun every evening. My another favourite one. This one IS in my car, I couldn't resist. :) link I love Freddie when he is singing and I love him even more when he speaks :) |
doughnut 04.05.2019 19:20 |
Mika , I have seen DySAN on here and he is a good one. Sorry Dysan we have seen some negative posts about new people on here so we are cautious . Mika I will give this a listen shortly :) |
doughnut 05.05.2019 14:24 |
link japan 1985 in case you haven't seen it |
mika251 05.05.2019 14:28 |
Hello I hope you have a nice Sunday. It's almost freezing in our area today which is pretty unusual. Freddie and weather? No connection at all? Hold my beer... Enjoy :) link |
mika251 05.05.2019 14:34 |
This final Japan gig is on my list, maybe tonight? :) My favourite one is Tokyo 5/9/85 link Unfortunately only audio is available but musically it's great. |
doughnut 05.05.2019 14:53 |
love that, I grew up watching Kenny Everett as he had a very funny tv show.... It's cold here too, this time last year it was very hot. I'm longing for the summer :) I just listened to the audio of 'it's a hard life' from Japan May 15th. It's a beautiful song :) |
doughnut 05.05.2019 18:13 |
don't stop me now from 1979..... link |
mika251 05.05.2019 19:36 |
Ouch Japan in 1979, I feel for him so much. But the quality of video is amazing :) |
doughnut 05.05.2019 20:12 |
I know but he loved Japan xx |
mika251 05.05.2019 21:25 |
It's a hard life is my favourite from works album but it's one of few (probably the only one) which doesn't work live for me. Actually I have a big problem with Works tour because of Freddie's voice. I don't know, in 86 it was completely ok for me, only Works tour is not working for me :) but to be perfectly honest I haven't listen to all bootlegs yet and as mentioned above, the gig from Tokyo on 5/09 is amazing. So i won't be that pessimistic and give it a chance. Once I'm done with Game/Hot Space tour.. Tonight I'm in Caracas in 1981 :) I wish he could sing It's a hard life with his 80-82's voice. That would be a gem. |
