So, I just remembered that someone I know told me in like, 2002 or so that after the end of the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert, at least Brian May (he was unclear about Roger and John) physically assaulted Robert Plant for ruining Innuendo. He claimed that Brian repeatedly used his guitaro to hit Robert Plant's neck.
Is there any truth to this story? Or was the person I know just messing around with me?
I reckon it was a brilliant performance... why not mix innuendo with Kashmir if you have forgotten the lyrics... after all, innuendo wasn't it not.... a tribute to Kashmir??
It was an awful performance in my opinion.
Struggled massively with innuendo, and I’m sure I read somewhere he pissed the band off by not showing up for all of his rehearsals.
Improved a bit on Crazy Little Thing bit one of the weakest performances I thought
I said in other topic, I don't like Plant's performance of Innuendo.
Kashmir and Innuendo doesn't sound similar to me at all.
Maybe Brian also don't like his performance but I believe he wasn't physically assaulted Robert Plant and I think he wouldn't used his guitar to hit Plant. LOL
But, who knows.
Innuendo was very weak IMOO. One of the reasons they cut the song from the Official VHS release. Ronnie James Dio or Klaus Meine, both an excellent vocal range could have done a better job.
Plant was DREADFUL.
"Kwayzee little thing called love"
No better than Tony Angelino performing at The Starlight Rooms for The Trotter Independent Stars Agency.........

Yeah Brian beat his hero Robert Plant to a bloody pulp in front of scores of people and the only person who heard about it was your mate.
Figure it out for yourself...
No, from what the guy told me, the assault happened somewhere private, though it wasn't clear where exactly. But I do believe it's bunk, I just wanted to make sure that there's really not more to it.
The absolute biggest travesty in the history of popular music is that the screeching hairball that is Robert Plant has actually managed to make a living out of the music industry. How the fuck did that happen?

Once upon a time Plant had a phenomenal voice and was lucky enough to be hand picked for a band manufactured by Page with tour dates and studio time already booked.
Lucky bastard!
