Freddie was very underrated as a performer in the 70s and 80s even from May & Taylor then he died and now people are saying Fred is the greatest legend ever, how people
can be so two faced. Even the BBC hated Queen as they were always getting snubbed by the likes of DJ Janice Long and Top of the Pops.
Strange how many Queen haters were at the Queen parties though.
WTF you've posted here for years about all the polls Queen topped through the years as proof that Freddie was the greatest, now your tooting completely different tune on your penny whistle.
As regards Brian and Rogers attitude to Freddie you obviously haven't read many 70's and 80's interviews with them. Your post are entertaining if nothing else
Actually, Roger did admit (Making of A Night at the Opera) that they hadn't realised how great he was until after he died. Of course, it's not so much 'we thought he was shit, now we know he wasn't' as much as 'we thought he was brilliant, we just hadn't grasped *how* brilliant'... and that's perfectly normal, it happens all the time in many areas of life. Some people are more appreciated when they're gone, and Frederick was no exception.

Yeah that's a good point and comes across as a very honest statement
The absence of someone is usually felt more than their presence when you're so used to them being there.
I don't think that means Brian and Roger are being two faced stating how brilliant Freddie was now.
There were interview where they both mentioned his abilities back in the day
Well, Mack, Mike Moran and David Richards were intimate friends of Freddie. Unfortunately I never met David Richards.
It's normal what they said in this video. The last son of Mack, the godfathers were John and Freddie.
Mike Moral is perhaps the most emotional but sad interview I did in my life...i
I was watching the "Do they know it's Christmas" end bit at Live Aid and it's kinda shameful how they didn't hand the mike to Freddie at all. I mean, when he finally got his bit in, Geldof kinda waved it at his face, then took it away.
Nasty stuff. Sorry to admit that when this was actually happening, I didn't notice it. It's only now that I'm seeing it clear as day. I'm guessing it's all because of Sun City....
