So it looks like Queen are cool again. As I mentioned in another thread, the new series 'Good Omens' features YMBF and UP. Yesterday I spotted in episode two of the new Netflix show 'Umbrella Academy' that DSMN is used as the soundtrack to an important action scene. Added to other oddities like Brighton Rock appearing in Baby Driver, it seems Queen have been 'discovered' by a new generation of fans. Or that Jim beach has licensed their music to all and sundry. Or both.
Not sure where you live, but here in the US I’ve noticed increasing use of Queen songs in adverts. CTLCL in an ad for some exercise equipment, but not the original. Sung by a woman and I’m not sure how to describe the style. Not my thing. I Want it All for grub hub, which is a service that delivers restaurant food to homes and businesses. Like Uber, they hire drivers who are independent, not employees.
I don’t watch much TV. There could be more. I don’t feel great about Queen songs in ads.
I agree Galileo.. I’m over here in Illinois and I hear DSMN played for about every clothing commercial or makeup commercial along with GrubHub using I Want It All
I don't really care that Queen songs are on TV or adverts even if they are parodies like Another One Drives The Duster or Flash Cleans Up The Impossible because at the end of the day it introduces people to music they might have never heard of before and may really like it. There are several songs that I never heard of before but really love now because of adverts playing them.

Amazon Prime's Preacher Season 4, Episode 5 'Bleak City' features Love of my Life in a scene where an angel and a demon dance together. Beat that.
The TV series "Limitless" used Father To Son.
That's at least equivalent.

Can't argue with that. FtS is one of the obscurer songs to appear in a tv series.
The desecration of the holy Queen music through incidental soundtracks is another successful myth perpetuated by the followers of the "Messenger of the Gods" and of his apostles: Brian "the philosopher", John "the righteous hermit" and Roger "the merciful" (accompanied by "the (n)ever virgin" Mary Austin and Jim Beach "the false one").
As for the "Umbrella Academy", I hope you know it's not a real academy, although you are one of those who still believe that Brian's doctoral degree is for real.
