Now the blitzkrieg of fan mixes in this forum seems have settled down, I figured it was time to share this video recording with you all.
It was recorded using Pivothead video glasses which, whilst they were set to fixed focus, still try to focus themselves every so often!
Sadly the downside of these devices is that they are made for sports wear and so the built in microphones are rubbish and loud music tends to distort quite readily, so the native audio is dreadful.
This means I needed a seperate source to dub over the video.
I had two friends in the audience who recorded audio, but the best recording turned out to be the one shared by NickESB here, so it's his audio that's been used. (Hope you don't mind Nick!)
Syncing was done by Chinwonder since he has experience in that sort of thing and I didn't have the patience...
So. Presented here is pretty much the full recording.
It's not been re-encoded to fade it in and out, but may contain a tiny tiny bit of editing during the fireworks to allow for swapping glasses.
Audio track one is the BBC broadcast.
Audio track two is NickESB's audience recording.
Audio track three is the original native audio (distorted)
I hope you guys enjoy re-living this concert from a different perspective from the one you will be used to :-)

Interesting:) Any samples? Maybe youtube?
I'm not interested in the whole thing, but as a taper I'm interested to see what the quality of the Pivothead cam is.

Sure.
Here's a minute I cut from the original file (so with distorted sound). link
It's the classic pivotheads I have from that time (obviously).
No idea if the more recent ones are better quality or the same, but they won't be worse I'm sure!
It's very nice quality! - far far better than what I thought you would achieve. Also it's interesting to see the whole stage area and see what the whole band is up to during the show. (And nicely filmed.) Thanks!

That crap belongs on the QAL side of this site, please dont make us all vomit.
Whether YOU like it or not, the QAL era is uniting new fans and old and many of them want to see and hear this stuff.
The thread is clearly labelled and if it's not to YOUR taste, that's fair enough: simply avoid it. It couldn't be easier!
If we're going to be pedantic about things though, THIS IS the "Sharing the music" forum: for sharing both video and audio.
The only other forum for sharing music is the "Fan mixes forum" dedicated solely for that purpose - how special is that?! :-)
The QAL forum however, is clearly labelled as being for DISCUSSION, so that's really NOT the place for "sharing the music" as you are, incorrectly, suggesting.
We should not really have a QAL section on Queenzone because to be honest many fans on here are not bothered about Adam Lambert and his shitty voice and clowning around on stage with a tricycle
that is not rock n roll that is someone who is a dickhead and taking the piss out of Freddie and Queen.
Oh, this looks interesting!
More than happy to have my audio presented here - not bad given I was using a very basic rig after my trusty Tascam was broken.
