So not sure where they're at with sexual molestation allegations, but did anyone else find it weird that the production completely boycotted any publicity involving the movie's actual director?
I guess it was the safe decision, but it'd be interesting to hear about his creative vision regarding the movie, his thoughts on the script, the accuracy of events, etc.
Yes, this is indeed very weird. However, it is also very typical for these times. I'm sure we are not far from stuff like "unwanted" actors being digitally removed from old films and replaced with more "suitable" ones. This guy basically created the product that is receiving so much praise now and still he is simply erased and ignored.

He removed everything to do with the movie from his social media after the latest allegation, probably was told to by the PTB and I would think it's a good idea to keep his name quiet, lots of people were saying the movie shouldn't even be up for awards because of his involvement.
After reading the expose by The Atlantic, I'm genuinely curious as to what it was that drew Brian and Roger into choosing him as the director (with the assumption that they were not aware of the allegations or Singer's history of behavior on set, like disappearing for days at a time). Was it his success with big movies like The Usual Supects, or his 'vision' for the project? Is he a big fan of the band? Were there any other directors they had in mind? In that article, executives from 20th Century Fox stated that Brian/Roger came to them with Singer attached already and basically told them their choices were to take on the project with Singer, or they wouldn't let them make the movie. I would think that Singer must have (initially) impressed them (?)
It's really sickening to read that the movie should suffer because of what the director has done. For those of you who share this opinion, if we find out someway that Dali, Matisse, Monet, Picasso or Rembrandt were child molesters, should we remove all their masterpieces from museums and burn them? If Singer gets convicted, he will go to prison. That will be his punishment, something he most likely deserves. But should his works be affected by his personal life? Of course not.
I agree Sheldon. But I do think it's wrong of Bohemian Rhapsody to erase him as though he didn't have involvement in the film. When I say wrong, what it does is just prove that people will do anything in order to win in life. Bryan Singer IS hugely involved in the film. If you don't like that fact, you can not watch the film and not vote or decide it isn't worthy of awards because of that if that's your choice.
Reality is bad people do good things. Would you rather your surgeon be the kindest man in the Universe, but terrible at his job, or someone morally reprehensible, but a fantastic surgeon? Shall we throw away all art and scientific discoveries made by people who did wrong? We'll be throwing a LOT away.
It turns out Bohemian Rhapsody were sort of lucky the issues they had with Singer at the end of the film, but they didn't get rid of him because of any allegations against him and the whole way they've seemed to imply this was why he didn't complete the film and the fact that they have removed him from all to do with the film and not thanked him once, well there is disingenuity in it to me.
Speaking of Singer. ..i just found out last night after running into a collector person, that there was recently (a week or so ago) an auction of many of his items from xmen, marvel productions etc.
The guy had an industry manual flip book/DVD compendium documenting all the characters, fonts etc for use on a production etc. Just struck me as odd. For a guy who stands to be making a sheet ton of money that's an odd thing.
Maybe litigation or leaving the country again er something. Maybe there's nothing to it.
