Like a family run business that's lasted a couple of generations. Could the same happen to a band... namely Queen...
Rogers son well... he's learning the ropes of the family business taking over drumming duties, John's son... one of his sons...wasn't he on youtube playing songs on the acoustic, transferring to bass shouldnt be too hard... Brian could teach one of his spouses to learn his guitar.... all you need to do is find a singer and you have a continuation of Queen..... Keeping it in the family??
Why should there be a continuation of Queen at all? That question is as relevant now as it was at the end of 1991. Thank goodness, McCartney, Harrison and Starr never even dared thinking about going on tour with a stunt-singer. But there you go... the human race is by and large fucked up anyway, so why not bombarding the end of civilization with yet more PRODUCT relating to Queen? Austin and the rest of the bunch will be thankful for any operation that'll make them more money.

I can imagine little more dismal for Queen's children than having to live their entire life, their greatest achievement being being part of a pale imitation/tribute band of their own parents' music and work...
I suppose there is a business argument that a band could be viewed as a 'franchise' like a sports team - the team retains the same name but the team members come and go over the years.....I still support the same football team that I did 30 years ago but all the players are different. I think 'Kiss' has even said that they could take this view of their band as a 'franchise' and could replace Gene and Paul with other players that then continue to play the songs in the same costumes etc. Many bands are pretty much working along the lines anyway - think of the Whitesnake/Black Sabbath/Rainbow/Deep Purple family for starters!!!
Having said that - the thought does nothing for me, and the music is all about the original creators and players and the emotions and moments created and conjured up by those combinations - cover bands of my favourite artists - whether made up of the original members' family or not - don't appeal to me in the slightest!
