If you listen to the rear channel mix of the song, or without the center channel, you can faintly hear the lead vocal. What stood out to me was that on the last "pull yourself together", a slightly different vocal melody is audible. He hits Bb4s on "PULL YOURself toGETHer" as opposed to the normal vocal, where "together" does not have any Bb4s. Has anyone else picked up on this?
When it comes to hear Brian singing the karaoke button or the skip one are a must.
In my days I had to fast forward the reel tape. Not on Long Away, but when he patented the "wounded animal" trademark on All Dead..., Sleeping... and Leaving Home... I had to replace the belts more often.
This is interesting, thanks for this. I was listening to the bass track for Don't Stop Me Now the other day, and if you turn the volume right up you can hear a guide vocal with different melodies and unfinished lyrics.
True that, I may have mentioned it in a thread years ago but sometimes the most interesting things are when things go quiet and you can hear a bit of headphone bleed and other stuff going on in the background
There are lots of faint harmonies happening in the background of Coming Soon but I've never seen anyone attempt to isolate them, and I don't have the chops for it.

Matt's alternative mix was pretty cool.
Thanks for the link. Yep, all Matt's stuff is good.
