Any thoughts?
From what i see, it's clear that the band is using massive backing tracks and are comfortable simply going out with a "show". However
Do you think this will hurt sales? Cause folks have been bemoaning Paul's voice for a few years now. Only it also appears that Gene is in on it and possibly everyone else. Someone's done a pretty good side by side already indicating the vocal tracks seem to be the same each night.
Not good for the concept of rock n roll. ...
I'm not surprised Matt. They're a heap of shite anyway, can count on one hand how many songs I like from their catalogue, and only need a few digits to count how many they've actually pulled off live.
They're just another money making machine who care not a jot for their fans, and the Stepfords will defend it to the hilt.
Simmons is the worst...wasn't he selling boxsets to folk for 50k if he delivered it personally?
I think it was $2K.
Yeah. Like it or not, it was probably celebrated by fans. I met him at a performance of his daughters'. After talking to her and getting a generous kind feedback and hug, i walked over to dude; he was kinda firm then rude.
Although, because it was basically a family event i did approach respectfully. I just complimented his daughters gig and he said "well go tell it to HER" .... asked about upcoming gigs and then if i could get a signature (being a bassist) ...he said "no you may not".
Well. Being so low key i don't know why someone would refuse. But eh.whatever. like i said it was his daughters gig so i didn't want to be rude either.
He cracked a joke about my backpack (i rushed from work to the gig)
I thought about saying something like :"oh man they always call you the ugly one, but I'm not so sure anymore" ... (rudely sidestepping with a faux compliment)
Anyways. Yeah enough about them. They HAD played before when i saw them. ...even if some parts were a little dubious and even with Peter playing sampled drums.... it was a good show.
Trouble is; they've talked shiy about people that don't perform live. Well, save for those last gigs in Barcelona and Portugal they're no longer even playing.
Sucks to get old. Either way. Looks like no KISS fans here anymore.
It was just topical
Sounds like you had a pleasant evening ;)
Yeah "The Vault" is $2k, but a mate told me he delivers the boxes personally for $50k. I just looked it up out of interest - oh man, he wasn't wrong! link
Ah damn. No wonder the few I've seen online (YouTube links videos) were mostly GROUP meets. Yeah. Pool it together sorta things.
Dude's trying ANY venture pretty much. Hawking some crappy cola recently as well
They have always been a talent-free shithole of a band. America was obsessed with them and they sold more dolls than records. No one else gave a shite.
I like the kiss, is very important music to me. I don't think they are at the mime on this show full, maybe just some songs. anyway is good video, i hope to see them sometime.
I considered myself as a Kiss fan, but when I saw them live in 2010 (my 3rd time since 1997) Pauls voice was nearly gone, die guys lost all punch and the show and setlist the same as usual. At one point they asked the audience to about in their requests and than played lick it up - es the Internet revealed, they did this every night and played lick it up every night...how lame can it get? But I think their last records were ok. Time for them to retire...but on the other hand there are still people who buy tickets...so who am I to judge?
