Thanks for posting. The movie wouldn't have been any better with these scenes, though. Reconstructing the Live Aid-footage was probably the biggest mistake among many mistakes the writers of the thing have come up with. Instead they should have reconstructed the Sun City-fiasco to show people what dicks Queen had been back then.
Roger gets one second of close-up in the whole song...not even when he shouts clearly "get Freddie" doesn't get rewarded with a close-up.
+ The CGI mouth of Rami is slightly annoying

yes I noticed too with Radio Ga G and Hammer to fall . The lipsyching of Rami and his facial expression to put power on his voice when he has to hits the chorus and high strong notes are very bad. He even managed to sing next to the mic and it seems Freddie did never sweat? Unbelievable!! Not sure why they didn't shoot Live AID at the end of the movie when the actors we all comfortable in their role.
Also the close ups of Brian's guitar playing are quite lame. Especially the solo parts. I guess they decided to film his head rather then zooming in on the guitar when doing the BoRap solo.
Joe and Ben had practiced their instrument and worked their ass off and even took private musical teachers so all the bass and drum parts so they could reproduce them so accurate on stage. No sure Gwilym did too. He had a few lessons from the real Brian I saw and saw a interview of him on YT that the hardest pasrt was to learn playing the guitar. But for playing Brian May in a movie with a reputaton being famous for his licks and solo's I would practice 8 hours a day non stop, watch every tutorial on the internet etc.

I was thinking about what you said and honestly I don't think it was very hard or impossible to shoot Gwilym hands bending on that solo in the correct shape even for 3 or 4 seconds. He said he could play the guitar a bit before the movie.
Put Ben Hardy in the movie singing backing vocals for 2 or 3 seconds. How hard could have been?
But pseudo fans don't know and don't care about details....

So you're not a real Queen fan if you aren't aware of the exact shape of Brian Mays fingers when he plays a guitar solo? Seriously ?? LOL

Because the wig is so laughably/annoyingly bad and styled completely wrong that they thought they'd best pretend he's not there.

What annoys me is that he totally missed that beautiful hand gesture Freddie made during the second verse of Radio Gaga

I think his movement coach missed it. Look at the behind footage of live aid on YouTube. In the front of the stage is a lady who does all the moves for Rami which he copies on stage.

Ha, it was like Rick Parfitt with a bad hair day!

I seems the others were not all happy by pickin Ben Hardy , but it seems Roger himself had the final say by pickin that toy boy.
My wife said Roger is a smart guy by pickin someone to play his role that is more handsome than Roger himself. Ben does a great job with him drumming but indeed he looks American and not typical British like Roger. Also his voice during the movie and the way he portraits Roger is not my bet.

How do I quote someone's post?
Anyway, I really can't understand how this woman is a professional movement coach and she missed that. It stuck out to me the first time I watched Live Aid. I remember thinking "Damn! He REALLY was in tune with the music"
Another thing to notice is that Freddie moved his right leg to the beat of Radio Gaga, making his whole body vibrate at the exact right time. Rami didn't do that and it seems so simple to imitate.
