Now that the movie is soaring towards a billion dollars I should imagine Fox would be delighted for a sequel.I reckon 'The Show Must Go on' telling the story of the final tour, the ongoing struggles with Freddie's illness and the closeness of the band to the very end.It should be way more accurate and emotional than the first, and we won't see FBG in 1974 or time travelling Hot Space Freddie going back to 1977 to record WWRY. And it shouldn't take ten years to make either.I have just listened to 'Queen for an hour' the radio 1 interview they did in 1989 and how inspirational,Freddie joking with his colleagues knowing that he was dying, and staying quiet when Roger describes being hard to imagine life without the band. There is SO much more to show.....
Thank you for your full reply.Surely way better than nineteen Harry Potters, eight Spidermans or fifteen superhero crappy films? money talks in Hollywood, what next, going on tour with a new singer?
It's daft to think that Fox wont be interested in this. But if it will come to fruition is another story. I doubt that Brian and Roger wants to put his final days onto the screen.
Is not going to happen for sure and simple reason i think. The fact movie ended up at live aid when they was at the top showing that BM and RT want to keep freddie wish and that is remember him when he was full of energy.
No. The content wouldn't be up to Fox, it would be up to the 2 greedy ones who need another few tens of millions in the bank and would be about life after Freddie with other singers and all that crap.
Even if they would so a sequel what makes you hope it would be more accurate???
I think they would include even more bullshit...maybe we would finally get to see a Miracle tour after all these years.

Hopefully not. One Queen related cinematic disgrace is more than enough.
As MAylor would sell Freddie's ashes if they had them it is all clear that there will be a sequel showing them "how they go from strength to strength" after Freddie's death.
I still believe SBC was right with what he said. I think the first script was exactly like he said: Freddie dying in the middle of the movie and after that its the Maylor show. Why should he make it up. Wish he would give an interview.

Havent you been on the Miracle tour? It was after another soloalbum Freddie did with some opera diva caused another big breakup of the band. Freddie had to beg a second time to get back into the band. The Miracle tour was awesome even though he was quite ill at the time and spitting blood on stage.
I think the sequel would open up with Freddie at wembley saying and this is the new song.....who wants to wait forever!!!!!!!!!!
And and end with Adam singing. The show has gone on and on and on!!! Has anyone ever counted how many ( go ons) is at the end of The show must go on... then we have a idea of how many times QAL will carry on this Hits tour.
