Queen Archivist Greg Brooks will also be returning and curating a specially expanded ‘The Miracle’ cabinet in the Queen Studio Experience. The new display will be making its debut on the party weekend - you guys will be the first to see it! “The Miracle was always a favourite of mine. It contains familiar tracks that most people have heard, but also some lesser-known gems like My Baby Does Me and Was It All Worth It. Aside from the musicality and the poignant aspects of certain songs, I always think of that album in terms of its striking and impactive imagery. There is much wonderfully diverse memorabilia from The Miracle and its five singles, and therefore it’s a natural choice to make a special fuss of. I plan to unveil quite a few more rarities, some never exhibited before. The Miracles will occur on the ninth month!" - Greg Brooks What do you all reckon on this?? Taken from queenonline.com. |

Rarities never exhibited before probably means stuff we have heard on bootlegs/unofficially, don't get too excited. |

As mentioned in the Queen Talks interview, they recorded about 30 (finished?) songs for the album. However, that number most certainly includes tracks we know about and probably some that got reworked for Innuendo, Made In Heaven and solo projects. Still, I'm sure there are some gems yet to be discovered. Does he mean September then? I guess I will forget until it happens. |

More like starting ideas like "Guess we're falling out" which is far from finished |

Party & My baby does me were fillers on The Miracle and the sad thing was they had loads more songs to choose from but ignored them |

There was a time when everyone who hadn't release an album for more than two years were aparently recording none stop! Metallica once claimed they'd written and tracked 60 songs for St Anger, I believe it was. In reality it was probably a number of riff ideas on a DAT recorder. |

However, I don't think we know all there is to know about The Miracle sessions. I guess those numbers don't usually mean complete songs, we would have found out about some more tracks at this point... or maybe not? Anyway, there was also a mention of 25 tracks recorded for Blue Rock and their producer choosing 10 for the album, but perhaps that happened before they finished them. Perhaps "Heartland" was initially discarded or maybe they came up with it after the album was done. |

I remember Freddie telling that when Queen where recording The Miracle album, Sir Paul McCartney was next door recording a new album and he had worked on over a 100 songs and Freddie thought that was outrageous, but then he said Queen had quite a few left over tracks running around somewhere, which could easily make another album but Queen hardly used previous tracks as a rule as some songs have surfaced over the years from previous recording sessions like "Sheer heart attack" and " We are the champions" |

mixed bag the miracle. its ruined by my baby does me, rain must fall and the invisible man. rest is pretty damn good. stealin, Heartland, Hijack my Heart and Dog with a Bone would have been better than the three duff tracks. |
Star* 23.12.2018 18:29 |
Heartland? never heard of that track? |

If there are lots of tracks that were worked on but didn't make it onto The Miracle maybe they were stockpiling songs for Innuendo - in the expectation they otherwise wouldn't get a full album. After all, supposedly, Freddie wasn't going to make it to the end of The Miracle. (Grim thought, I know, but they did this for real post-Innuendo.) Now, how many of those went unneeded as Innuendo is indeed a complete album, is an interesting question. "Africa By Night" is one that, I think, came from around the Miracle timeframe. I wonder if there are some tracks on Innuendo that are recognisably of the Miracle "style". |

Martin Packer wrote: I wonder if there are some tracks on Innuendo that are recognisably of the Miracle "style".That's indeed an interesting question. Let's check them one by one: - Innuendo, Bijou and Don't Try So Hard apparently began in late 1989 when the band were in Switzerland. So, those three are unrelated to The Miracle. - Headlong and I Can't Live with You were written for Back to the Light, part of which overlapped with The Miracle but also with Innuendo. Hard to tell unless we get some specific dates. - All God's People has been confirmed to have been considered for The Miracle. - Slightly Mad, These Are the Days of Our Lives and Show Must Go On were reportedly done in 1990, so no. That leaves three songs: - The Hitman - Delilah - Ride the Wild Wind Coincidentally, those are three tracks which rarely get mentioned, so it's entirely possible that they began in The Miracle, or maybe two of them, or perhaps one of them, or perhaps none of them. By the way, I did list the songs we *knew* about or which had been released or otherwise leaked so far, but I didn't claim that only those existed. There could easily be many more which we simply don't know about... or at least I don't. |
Star* 25.12.2018 09:27 |
The Hitman Delilah & Ride the wild wind certainly need to be forgotten about as they are drivel. |
Golden Salmon 25.12.2018 10:19 |
^Just my opinion, but I really like Ride The Wild Wind. Very much a Roger track, elevated to higher musical quality by the band. |

Rogers best tracks with Queen must be "Im in love with my car" & "Drowse" |

Yes Brian always does best guitar licks on demos, why this is i do not know but they sound brill. |
