well, in June 50 years have passed since the recordings made by Smile; it would not be so bad if they let out an official EP with, maybe, Step on Me version by 1984 and Polar Bear with Freddie on vocals and any other stuff about (with good quality of course).
what do you think?
Brian and Roger (and Tim) if you are, do it !!!!
I would love it if they released it as they probably have the best quality versions. And there's probably the biggest audience now for a release because of the Queen movie and soundtrack attracting new fans to Queen's music.
Conclusion: It will be a massive shame if they don't release anything because it could be popular with all Queen fans not just the serious ones.
12" red vinyl reissue of the 6 tracks, packed in a sleeve with the original tapes on it with the Smile logo on top of it. Add a 7" replica of Earth/Step on Me. Throw in a Don't Forget To Smile banner replica. A few glossy promo-shots (the ones in front of the RAH). A CD with the original 6 tracks. A 2nd disc with alternate versions such as the Morgan version of Earth, the 2003 Tim Staffel versions, the 2018 version of DA. Maybe add the soundboard recording of the 1992 reunion). They have my money.
