I mean they did give Roger's song a lighthearted mocking (fair enough) but I think it could've gotten a bit of screentime (not to mention a spot on the successful soundtrack) to show non-fans that the song is a killer tune.
Hmm.
Here's what I think. Many other songs Roger wrote are far better. I would have to more details about Radio GaGa, in the film and how that came together. Freddie worked on it while Roger was away on a ski trip ( I think ) and I would have loved to see Freddie tinkering with while Roger was away, and his reaction when he came back.
I think that would have been a great part in the film.
To start the soundtrack album and end it with a song that has no Freddie participation, yet its "Queen" titled, that would have been a bold statement...
Maybe some day they will do it.
imho, AFAICR, DAO IILWMC would've been great... there are far more routes the film could've taken. I'm still surprised that audiences didn't see what a hack amateurish job it *Mostly was.
TWO points for the FM/MA scene... and the phony press conference scene.. which I'm guessing was probably added later.
I wonder what's left on the "cutting room floor" because it was completely lacking any rock spectacle and made a poor showing of the band. it was fast forward, fast forward etc... and the mannerisms weren't that great... particularly the LIVE element... shoddy as shit... the kids in THE MIRACLE... excuse me.. the kids in *TM were 100x better
