Bohemian Rhapsody tried to make a all round family film for all .There was hardly any swearing ,sex ,wild parties or drug use. This was all a big part of Freddies life in the real life he used the F word an awful lot.The big bust ups were also hardly shown.Brian's wife cheating and Roger's complex love life was all left out. It's basically been made to bring on the next generation of young Queen fan's...Iam a 56 year old Queen fan who was there like lots of you guys at the beginning. With all the other mistakes in the film...its a disappointment.
agree.....but if the things ya wanna see are the one you mentioned...that's a fair deal with me.....
what bothers me more are the HEAVY mistakes....fat b girls in 74? rio in 75,76? that's what i call ..ripping of and cheating the old folks..the folks who made the band as big as she was ..without the enormous trust and faith from the folks they would be anywere.....In fact the movie is a nice supplement on the Qp policy....no quality, just money making shitty things. Fe the now launched JAZZ merchandise...or the Bo Rap movie merch, and what do you think of that pathetic Taylor exclusives....hahahhaa....wouldnt be burried in that crap.

Yeah FBG would've made much more sense in 75 or 76.
To be honest, that didn't bother me. It was such a talking point before seeing it, I genuinely think it worked ok.
As Queen fan for over 30 years I always cared and still have interest on their music and not their personal life. That's what the movie tries to focus.
Technically, FBG was used in the soundtrack for atmospheric purposes.
What bothered me most was the bogus Freddie-going-solo-story and the way the rest of the band reacted to that. xD
Every movie needs to have conflict, but this was just stupid.
Exactly! Mr Bad Guy coming from the speakers and Freddie being let-down, sitting in a chair, saying "It sounds like shit"! From the famous 1985 interview you can see, when David Wigg asked him about that track, that it's actually one of his favourite tracks from the album. It is tongue in cheek and very frivolous.
I'm not saying that he was happy with the album but the way it was depicted in the movie........

Brian's wife cheating? I think he was the cheater, Hell, he cheated on Anita Dobson as well. Brian's the big cheater in Queen.
Bad Guy had some amazing tunes, but also some to simple for the high Queen standards that period.
Think it would work much better when the other 3 were involved with their instruments...and with them Fred could have better asked R T Baker, as the Gamish production of Mack didn't work out for this Freddie Mercury only songs.
