Freddie and Mary are getting a lot of attention In My local paper..They had a 2 page article on them a few days ago...Mary was stated in a recent Interview that when Freddie left her his fortune, she was hit by Jealousy and treated badly by Not only the obvious In Jim Hutton and friends, but his band bandmates...She said Brian, Roger, and John were Jealous and pissed that Freddie left her all that money...I never heard of the band being mad about that before that article. why would rich men be mad about that? and Is this article true? I'm sure you could look it up online...NY Post
Brian never got over the fact Freddie stole his girlfriend. xD
Is thisthe article by the way?
Seems like the article uses Lesley-Ann Jones as a source for their article, which kind of gives you an idea about how much of it is bull. :D I see her pop-up a lot lately, seems like she's trying to sell another pressing of the definitive biography on the wave of hype around the movie? XD
It's beyond me how anyone can call Mary a golddigger...
She has shown not but pure love for Freddie, then and now.
Just have a look at all the pictures of them together. What I see is a genuine incredibly strong bond between 2 people.

yea, that's the article....I do think people were Jealous of her at that time, but not the band. Just using common sense here...Brian never got over stealing his girl? Hope that was meant as a Joke...Brian sounds like he wishes Freddie stayed with her when he talks about them In Interviews.
Not saying she was a gold digger, but it must be noted she was on his Goose Productions payroll for a long time (since 1977). She was an employee, which I was surprised to find out, having originally assumed she did loads of things just out of kindness as a friend. Of course she was a real friend...but a friend who benefited financially. Sweet job.
Since the New York Post is just one step above the National Enquirer in terms of track record for truthfulness, I think you can safely disregard this typical sensationalist article.

Because she actually had a job as secretary. It sure wasn't Mercury going through mounds of paperwork at the desk.
And even if she wasn't - Mercury's generosity need not be misconstrued as her being a mooch. It's a statement of their loyalty to each other. Many times he said she was the only person in the world he trusted.
This is what happens when you're friends with someone before they become famous (after which the rest of the world wants you for your celebrity) - you're rewarded handsomely.
Brian was jealous of Freddie - thats what the new movie is all about. SO would not surprise me if he was jealous of Mary as well. I never saw any interview with him about her
You are literally the most bitter twisted individual ever, you never have anything constructive to say to anyone about anything, and every post is just another jab at people YOU are jealous of, namely Brian, Roger, Adam and anyone that actually has a life on here.... amazing
