Anyone have some info on the source of this recording?
Considering the track listing includes The Night Comes Down, these are the studio versions. The track lengths indicate that too.
The times in brackets are instructions for how long DJs can speak during the intro. Traditionally this is meant for an introduction before the lead vocal, but that's not the case for the last two tracks here - interesting.
From Discogs:
"AFRTS is the American Forces Radio and Television Service. It is part of the Department of Defense, and is headquartered at Fort George Meade Maryland. The AFRTS mission is to communicate Department of Defense policies, priorities, programs, goals and initiatives. AFRTS provides stateside radio and television programming, "a touch of home," to U.S. service men and women, DoD civilians, and their families serving outside the continental United States. AFRTS includes the Radio and Television Production Office (RTPO), The Pentagon Channel and the AFN Broadcast Center. "
To me, this record is just a compilation of the albums of Queen and Wishbone Ash that were released that year, respectively Queen and Live Dates. I know it is appealing to read Queen, Live Dates and 1973 in the same row but no, Live Dates is just the name of the album of Wishbone Ash. ;)
