Yeah, funny how almost EVERYONE points that out in the comments section. I think Bri & Co might have seriously underestimated the modern audience and what they expect of films these days. Brian (the actor) is super convincing though, incredible casting.
It was historically inaccurate to have Freddie in his Jazz-era leather outfit with a moustache in the Miracle video. I mean pretend Freddie. Kiddie Freddie.
So the band haven’t been sticklers for this kind of accuracy. I actually like this scene.
I know this has been beaten to death already with the mustache in '77 thing, but yes, k-m has a point...the thing is, there are famous videos of him from the era of this song, so people already know what he looked like at that time. The mustache was such a radical departure it sticks out like a sore thumb. If they had changed his appearance from some earlier timeframe that wasn't so well documented already that's one thing, but to play around with images that are pretty much iconic doesn't make much sense to me. We'll have to see how it works within the context of the film.
I agree ?? also Roger smiling like stupid when Brian gives directions. In other trailers also John is always with a smile... They looked so stupid.
I am waiting to see the movie in order to understand why the shift songs and timeline. Queen history has a very good flow by its own. Maybe if a parody comes out, it will be better....
That smile and the cheekbones Mali Ramek gives after the 'what's the lyric' taunt are great! And the music sounds amazing.
Accurate in any sense of the word? No less than any other biopic.
Enjoyable? So far so good for me!

This is just ridicilous. What a bunch of amateurs. I forgot what Phoebe ( Peter Freestone) said about this piece in the movie. Something that it all fell into place at some point ....?
I know what Freddie looked like during the NOTW tour because I saw a concert from this tour live, and yet this compression of putting the mustache earlier really doesn’t bother me that much. I agree with Donovan. The music sounds amazing. It brings back some of the feel of that concert for me. So that’s why I like this scene. It’s the first trailer that has me excited for this movie.
Of course, YMMV.
I sincerely hope they time-shifted the mustache and not the song. The performance that follows is Japan 81 so I hope it's just a big jump in time.
Although, they surely wouldn't skip 1980 and Another one bites the dust.
Hopefully the execution works well.
Oh, and I thought I should point out that since late 1977 millions of people have listened to We Will Rock You performed live... not once has ever stomped their feet to this song, until this clip.. haha :D ..
They've surely time-shifted the song, rather than the moustache.
We know (or think) that FBG has been time-shifted, so it would make (an absurd kind of) sense that WWRY has also been shifted, to 1981, for reasons somehow to do with the dramatic arc of the film.
Didn't Phoebe or somebody mention that a couple of things like thas had happened, in order to better serve the overall arc of the film?

The forum software doesn't recognize the https protocol as a link. Why don't you just double click the link, right click and chose something like open it new tab?
Or here you have the videos

Had the same impression-looked like amateur actors in a comedy flick. It will be a desaster I assume.
I suspect the more fleshed out character is going to be Freddie, for obvious reasons - the musical genius and showman; Brian, given his involvement in the movie, will be shown as a key collaborator, almost an equal to Fred; Roger and John will be there more for dramatic or comedic effect.
I see Roger being shown initially as a goofball / rocker at the beginning, maybe a bit temperamental, getting a bit at odds with Freddie (given the scenes we've seen) and then coming around toward the end when he knows Freddie is not well. Wasn't Ben Hardy in soap operas? He has a couple of dramatic looks/lines in the second trailer.
John, quite frankly, I think will be almost pure comedic effect. The quiet, lovable one reacting funny to the other larger-than-life personalities. I see him getting one good scene where his smarts show, either electronics with the Deacy amp or his support managing Queen's finances in the mid-70's. AND, OF COURSE, we'll see him come up with Another One Bites the Dust as Queen conquers America.
Yes!!! But how many people know this and still post dead links?? If you want people to click your links then surely the poster should make the very minor amendment?!

In response to a post further up about links and shit...
The depiction of Roger is definitely a simplified one. In reality he’s probably got the most cutting sense of humour of the four members, but the character in the film just seems like a tool who doesn’t take the music all that seriously (which is the opposite of the truth). Kind of plays into a negative drummer stereotype imo.
I wonder if Under Pressure is in the movie? I guess it must be if it's on the soundtrack. Will the film depict John as coming up with the bass line? IIRC he invented it in the studio, then forgot it after a night out, then was reminded of it again by Roger or Bowie. In fact, I wonder if and how how they will depict Bowie given Brian's antipathy to Bowie's input.
