None for me.
Queen's music is my go-to-band for a positive and uplifiting effect.
If i want to wallow in selfpity i prefer other bands.
That's pretty true actually. With a few exceptions for myself. UsuallY Brian's soaring solos can obliterate any perceived negativity in the song. I believe some of that pomposity overwhelms negative thinking/feeling
It's weird - despite the largely tongue in cheek pomp of Queen, I take more from them lyrically and emotionally than I do from, say, Bowie who had a far more abstract approach to lyrics and gave little away. Despite me attaching the same weight to both acts nostalgically, lyrics directly lifted from the Nietzsche and Kahil Gibran don't really hold a mirror up to my life.
Although if you'd asked me at the age of 11 if Nevermore or Save Me spoke to me, I'd have said no.
So we'll see.
