New photo from Bohemian Rhapsody Movie.. (Confusing once again)

Look seeing the trailer and everything looks amazing and got me very excited for this movie! BUT! Again one of the biggest things was WWRY being created during 1982? Still bothers me.. but now this photo is making my head spin a bit. 1. Brian and his Gibson.. which yes I know he owns but judging from the photo when was this played during what seems to be 1982? 2. Freddie’s very stylish very modern sunglasses. 3. Deacys clothing which seems to be still from late 70s 4. Just the set up of them performing live in the studio. Which makes it seem like they’re preforming in front of an audience. |

**Also! Fred’s shoes bother me. Those are adidas sambas not his boxing shoes that he wore.. |

Looks great. |

roger's hair, to me, is the major issue. roger cut his hair by the time NOTW was out. if it was SNL the least they could do was put a leather jacket on on Freddie. |

It looks a bit like a rehearsal space. Between Bri and Freddie in the background are a couple of those black music stands, with nothing on them. And there's a piece of paper at Freddie's feet. But they're overdressed for a rehearsal. It's an odd photo but at this point I'm not going to fret over it. |
| Cruella de Vil 10.08.2018 05:35 |
I agree about roger's hair...really circa 79, but the paying punters won't really give a crap |
| ANAGRAMER 10.08.2018 06:17 |
And a distinct lack of cymbals |

Clearly the BBC session from 1977. Get with it people. |

It’s a movie designed to entertain so there will be some artistic licence. However, Brian in particular seems to have been quite fastidious regarding the guitars, there were two red special copies so I do wonder did he possibly use a Les Paul at some time, although the only photos I have ever seen were from the early 70’s? |
| Togg 10.08.2018 09:33 |
Looks like it's been photoshopped.... Roger doesn't look like he was actually there, why is there light shining in the bass drum where his legs should be, cymbals look like they've been removed from the back of Freds head Are we sure this isn't a fan cobble together? |
| cmsdrums 10.08.2018 10:29 |
The bassist doesn't even look like Joe Mazzello................... |

So. ...i take it that John will have short hair from the get go? No fro for Gaga? Maybe this is all a joke and there never was a movie made! |

"Freddie did not wear glasses at SNL". Alright, thats true. My opinion is that everyone who actually gets angry if Freddie's shoelases are tied wrong, or that his jacket has brown buttons instead of black is very odd. I hope you don't state these things to none Queen fans. Social suicide. People will think you are a weirdo of the highest order. And it's not far from the truth. |

This is like those puzzles from childhood--what's wrong with this picture? Brian and Roger are without mics. So which song has Freddie not at the piano and no backing vocals? There's people here who know everything about Queen, someone must know this one! And why is there a carpet in the bass drum? This has to be photoshopped. |

it's looks nice soon we will be able to say more about movie |

The little kids in the "Miracle" video look more like Queen than these professional actors do. And the Gibson? WTF? He's not Jimmy Page. |
| Richard Orchard 11.08.2018 13:48 |
the guitar is very weird. and the way he is holding it. the actual movie trailer looks a lot better than some of the stills they have released. |
| Jake12 11.08.2018 14:50 |
Well... he’s a little bit of uplifting photos! THESE look amazing! Pretty sure they are real! Take a look! Rami looks pretty spot! |

That picture on page 1 looks like a still from a cheap unauthorized TV-movie :/ |
| Kacio 11.08.2018 19:51 |
hmm guys... maybe these photos were to serve as poster graphics? don't be stressed just wait for the premiere xdd |

Later on he got the "Yellow Special" replica, which he destroyed during a concert in 1982. Afterwards he got a Flying V. Not to mention the Telecaster he's used for CLTCL in every concert on Freddie's days. He started using Guild Red Special replicas from 1984 onwards. If we take into account the movie isn't very strict about chronology (i.e. Freddie's moustache during We Will Rock You), there's nothing wrong with Brian using a different guitar. We should also take into account that on promo videos it wasn't unusual for him to use different guitars. Right now I can think of Killer Queen (TOTP) and Play The Game, where he plays a Stratocaster, CLTCL and his Telecaster and Princes of the Universe and a Flying V lookalike. So a studio shot of him with a Les Paul in the 80s (assuming it's the 80s because of Freddie's moustache) might not be 100% accurate, but it's not too far off from Brian's habits. That'd explain the absence of BV mics. The carpets are pretty common in the studio. cmsdrums could correct me if I'm wrong, but drummers like to use them to prevent the drums from sliding away, and some claim it affects their tone. On the ANATO 30th Anniversary documentary you can see Rog's kit sitting on a carpet: link |

I seem to remember a knitting needle once. Naw, maybe another band I’m thinking of. |

How comes there's a photo of Rami with Freddie's '86 Budapest outfit on? Doesn't the movie go up to Live Aid only? |
| Another Roger (re) 12.08.2018 10:07 |
Omg folks. It is obvious that these pics is just poses for photos. There will be nothing from the magic tour in this movie. Get a grip. |

On the ANATO 30th Anniversary documentary you can see Rog's kit sitting on a carpet: linkDrum kits will usually always need a rug or carpet to sit on to prevent the stands and drums moving around on the stage. In the bass drum is usually a pillow, shirt or similar to control overtones. Funnily enough though in recent years Roger has usually played without one live to get the full drum reverberance. However, I’ve never seen Roger have his front drum head cut out like that - there were Ludwig heads in the 70s that came like that as stock though so he cold easily have used one in rehearsal. (From memory, the One Vision studio footage shows his kit without a front head altogether!). |

The movie isn't strictly adhering to chronology in looks or eras. All movies based on biographies do this. |

Could be Freddie in 1977, with the right outfit but with the wrong haircut and anachronistic mustache as in WWRY. Here is a photo from that year: link |
