However, if one cop had not snuck up from behind him and attempt to grab him, perhaps he would still be alive. Even though he might have been "jumped" by one of the cops and acted in reflex, he should never run from the cops while grabbing for his gun. I would never want to be a cop, where every day my life could end because of some lunatic with a gun. I think the loopholes in gun laws should be closed, but the NRA will not give an inch, because the anti-gun lobby would prefer all guns be banned. What do I think of the NRA? They can shove it. Combine that with our previous conservative prime minister dismantling our gun registry (which means even the legal guns can't be traced) which led to a surge of firearms making their way across the border. Gun violence is rising in Canada, and this is why. There is blood on so many people's hands, and virtually all of them are on the right side of the aisle, in both countries. But at least the city of Toronto voted today to pass new gun laws. This is how it's done. The US could learn a lot from this, but of course the NRA won't budge. |
