The former Oasis frontman was slammed for calling the late icon a "goofy c***" on Twitter.
Liam Gallagher has responded to reports he criticised Queen's Freddie Mercury.
The Oasis rocker came under fire for mocking the late icon, who died in 1991 from AIDS, after responding to comments from a follower who compared their writing skills.
Responding to a tweet which, according to the Daily Star, read: "Freddie Mercury - Bohemian Rhapsody. Liam Gallagher - Songbird," the rocker replied: "Fuck him the goofy cunt." link
I really feel sorry for this Liam Gallagher person.
He has made a nice career for himself and still "frustrational talk" seems to be the best he can produce...
He seems to be blind and deaf for so much beauty around him! It's his loss.
And the joke is on him...

He just sold out Finsbury Park (50k) with a gig on a tour in support of his solo album and attracted many new young fans. link
Meanwhile B. May and R. Taylor tour arenas with the same old songs and a casting show guy as their replacement lead singer.
Who's the legend and who should retire? Easy to answer :)
PS: anyone who trys to "defend" Freddie obviously misunderstood Liam's comments...

Well lets see, Liam tours with new music, meanwhile May, Taylor and Lambert tour for the fifth year running with music released at least twenty three years ago. Not doing bad for themselves really and not a reason to retire since people still want to see them despite the "same old songs".
Liam Gallagher a sad Beatle wannabe who can have a fight just by looking at himself in the mirror! What a complete twat and untalented brainless fool he is.
His mother should have the twit aborted. if Freddie was here he would have told druggie Gallagher where to get off after all he was not afraid of sid vicious was he !

pretty sure liam's remark was tongue in cheek. i've been a fan of oasis etc for some time now. he's probably pissed at himself. he can't write that well. not sure if anyone else here followed oasis.... but liam didn't write the songs... his brother did. liam's responsible for maybe a little more than a handful.
here's an interesting thought... Freddie Mercury on twitter if he were still alive

There's no way Noel would have written anything for Liam they don't speak, still haven't made up all these years later. He wrote six of them himself and used songwriters for the rest. link

They do very well for a band that never had an artistic heyday. Droning miserable nonsense. A lot of his attitude probably stems from the frustration of knowing that he can't even lay claim to having recorded the best version of Wonderwall.
(The Mike Flowers Pops did).
