Is the festival having trouble selling tickets? I think after Vegas the guys should take a year off from touring. Test and recharge and not oversaturate Q+AL. I think it's getting oversaturated by now if I will be honest. |

rockchic65 wrote:It's a discount site, similar to Groupon, where they sell a limited amount of tickets cheap. Don't really know how these sites work, they sell all sorts of stuff cheap, like spa days, hairdressing discounts etc. I've always thought it was a publicity thing by the vendors but it was a bad way to do it. It's only the second year for the festival, maybe it isn't doing as well as expected, the only one sold out is Liam Gallagher.Iron Butterfly wrote:Nightjar_ wrote: I had a feeling this wasn't selling well.. Link didn't work for me but i googled it like a trooper Well. ..maybe if they brought the rock n roll back. ....... but either way nice discount! (It's better than canceling the gig) [for those that want to see it] If they're playing with THE DARKNESS does that mean that technically Roger is on Tour with his son? |

Don't know if it will happen as Brian & Roger haven't mentioned it but Justin said it in some written interview, made it sound like it was a done deal. |

So the people are finally getting hacked off with Adam Lambert and his overtly over the top homosexuality and with two old pensioners who should know better, wake up people Queen died in 1991. |

Most of these latest shows have been sold out with the odd exception, and touring so soon after last year IMO was going to affect how many go. I would have gone again if they'd been nearer and I could drive but the travelling and hotel costs make it not really viable. Plus it's coming up to the main holidays, people have other priorities if they've booked to go away etc. Not everyone can justify spending a lot of money on a show when there's other things to consider, doesn't mean they wouldn't like to. Also not everyone likes Festivals, some would rather a sit down show with one band, (like me). |

Its ok for you to make excuses but we all know everyone is getting bored with Queen + Adam Lambert, a lot of venues sold out because folk wanted to go and see what all the fuss was about and was all the hype true about Adam been bigger and better than Freddie, and although many came away thinking it was an ok show many say there is no way Adam Lambert can top a show fronted by the master Freddie Mercury. 2019 Lambert needs to break away from Queen because it is tedious and boring now. May & Taylor have milked the last drop out of the Queen cash cow and scraping the bottom of the barrel now. |

And initially I daresay they did go to see what all the fuss was about but that was back in 2012 and even 2014. Now a lot are going repeat times, some have been several times between 2014 and now so they obviously haven't got bored yet. I do think they will take a break after Vegas, they all have other interests they like to pursue and it will be over 12 months of touring after those shows, bar the small breaks, most bands don't tour continuously. |

It seems, ticket sales for all artists are on a low. Even Beyoncé has problems selling her tickets. Heard, that they have been giving many of them away for free at her last concerts (on concert day). Taking that into consideration, Queen is doing more than good! |

Queen toured continuously with Freddie and the cycle was album then tour then album and tour etc......... They stopped in 1983 to give each other a break as that year i believe a split nearly occurred. Once Adam gets a taste of his own ventures hopefully that will close this dreadful Queen chapter for once and all. I cant see the point of it all apart from the money side of things and because Brian & Roger love playing live. |

QAL have been pretty much touring for the last five years, tour in 2014, full tour 2015, festivals etc 2016, and this latest one which started back last year and is still ongoing. I'd say that's pretty good going considering they've no new music to tour with. |

well i think Queen are done with recording studios now. They have 40 years of music to play with so no worries there. |

Some part of that is WHO they have singing their music. You stick the average singer in there and it wouldn't be a popular as it is. Adam just works with Queen perfectly!!! |

95% of the success goes to Brian & Roger as Queen concerts sell out fast because of them. Lambert is lucky to be working with two of the biggest rock icons ever, and without them he would not have a career. |

That said IMO he would still have a career, because besides being incredibly talented, not that talent always makes a difference but he's got a very endearing personality, people take to him and want him to do well. That's half the battle in any entertainment job, having people in your corner so even if his music didn't do that well he'd still get jobs, hosting shows or presenting. Regardless what you think of his voice to deny he has a great personality would be silly. I'm sure if someone like Rylan can get a job presenting on a TV show there'd be plenty opportunities for Adam. |
